An excellent place to go and have some food and drink. The service was impeccable and the menu has a great choice. We will definitely be going here again.
Staying for business purposes, but kitchen here is absolutely somewhere else than most of the places nearby that I stayed recently. Not just burgers and steaks or lasagne and pizzas. Instead having pan fried duck breasts, or lovely pork belly, yumm ;-.I can be very critical about the food but here it was exeptionaly good. Thank you chefs! Who fancy traditional cousine , I highly recommend to pop in . Happy and smily waiting staff will make you welcome and will make sure that everything is to your likes.
A lovely clean pub. Staff so friendly and the food was delicious. The main course was so big I took half home. First visit but won't be the last. Even the general manager cleaned the tables. They all help each other. Talking to our waitress and waiter the morale is for all to see how they talk about the place. The 2nd visit was a disaster. Waited ages even though there were only 3 of us. Chips came cold and awful. Very bland completely different from the 1st visit. It was freezing very little heating. Very disappointed as it was my son's partner's birthday treat. They had very little food ,no steaks. We won't be back.
As always, great food and friendly staff. Provided us with the allergens menu when requested. Nice atmosphere on a whole. Could probably use a few more staff as we were lucky to get a table without a prior reservation. Saw a few groups turned away due I assume to shortage of staff, and their lack in the ability to be in 7 places at once. They did well with the pressure they were clearly under.
Had a wonderful evening at the Robin Hood on Christmas Day all the staff were lovely and very accommodating to all of use especially my mum who is in a wheelchair providing us with everything we needed. The food was excellent and full of flavour and always arrived on time and hot. Will definitely be returning to try the regular menu!
Very poor experience all round. No one to greet at the door. Only 4 table's yet 2 of our 4 meal's were well below what was expected. Lasagne was cold, my chicken burger was dry and burnt. Time it was replaced everyone else had finished. It used to be such a lovely place but has certainly dropped it's standards.
Lovely food, we had beef rib and trio of roast. Both tasted great! Staff were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be returning.
Excellent family meal for 15, good service, good value - would be 5 stars but that the bar was almost empty not the fault of the staff or venue which seemed odd for a Saturday before Christmas! I hope you get the custom you deserve!
The food was very nice and good sized portions but maybe a little pricey. The staff were nice and the service was very good. A good experience other than the cost
Well 10 of us booked for a Boxing Day meal for 4.30 pm . We had to phone through our order two days before. Tried ringing over and over again but no one ever picks up. Decided to drive over not living that near and personally hand orders of what everyone wanted over. Job done. Arrived on day to be told that they had all starters, only turkey or venison for mains not suiting the vegetarians and no puddings at all ! The staff were rude and said we couldn’t be long had 1 1/2 hours as they wanted to get home!!!!!Needless to say it ruined our Xmas gathering with a lot of upset people . No apologies from manager either. Now years ago 20 + this was the place to eat. Please do not waste your time going as I’ve heard that the food is apparently appalling.
