This review does not reflect on the crematorium services but on the GROUNDS MAINTENANCE TEAM who operate in the grounds. My mothers/fathers memorial slab was damaged coincidentally when they dug for my father's ashes interment. Veolia who have the contract deny the damage made by their staff. Dog excrement was also close by which I had to inform the attending family to avoid. Have your ashes scattered - Don't put in memorial plot, damage is imminent and avoiding dog mess.!!!!
We had a lot of stuff taken off of my sisters grave without warning which caused a lot of distress for us previously but recently one plot on our row has been allowed to make a huge mess, lean things on other people’s graves just being completely disrespectful, they poured concrete themselves around a double plot which has gates all around and feels like a safety hazard and is an eyesore. Many of us around this plot have complained but are now even considering moving our loved ones as they haven’t listened or even responded. The council need to do another review of this cemetery as it’s gone very downhill, don’t bury your loved ones here
Lovely refurbishment and friendly staff. The grounds are kept really well. It is a shame the office is no longer on site.
Very sadly seen this cemetery really go down.nHave family at rest here, the grounds are not kept as well as they used to be.nSaddest part is seeing so many people walking their dogs in the grounds.nI saw three separate people today exercising dogs, one person put her dogs excrement in the bin.nGuess it's better than being left , but it really isn't appropriate.nIt should be a place of respect, have time to collect your thoughts of your loved ones.
I can't fault their funeral service. It was a great service and I was so happy that family that were unable to attend in person could watch on the video link without any hassle.nHOWEVER, that's unfortunately where the praise ends. We made a booking nearly 2 weeks ago for the ashes to be scattered. They only told the funeral directors today that apparently they had sold the area where both my granddad and dad are scattered, which is where we were planning to scatter my nan and that we would have to pay extra money to ask the family who bought the plot if we could use it. It's only thanks to my family's knowledge of the layout of the crematorium that we learnt they hadn't sold it! They got something mixed up. If WE hadn't picked up on this error, my nan may have ended up being scattered on top of some random person's grave.nDo better Robin Hood crem!
