We have used Catharine Crossley a few times over the years and service has always been excellent which is why we returned for the latest transaction. This was a particularly difficult property sale yet throughout the whole process Catharine and her team have been amazing. Her endless patience and efficiency in dealing with each issue as it cropped up helped immensely. She never fails to return calls, emails, etc and is both friendly and professional. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Over the last 8 years, Roberts Crossley have handled the buying and selling of 8 different properties for myself and my immediate family. They have never failed to deliver, on any of the legal work required to meet the targets we needed. A couple of different members of staff have worked on these jobs for us over the years and all have been superb. However, a special mention for Ben Thomas, who has handled most of the work, doing a great job for us every time. He already knows that I will return to him for the next one. Many thanks. A&D, R.

We used the services for selling and buying of our house. I spent almost 1 week to find a solicitor who is economical but provides a quality service. Really impressed by the service we received. Special thanks to our case handler Cameron Cook. The good thing about this company is you can talk directly to your case worker over the phone and you can call any time.
I was surprised to read other reviews mentioning Ben Thomas as at points over the last few months it felt like our transaction had his full undivided attention. Despite it taking nearly 8 months to move our flat from ‘offer accepted’ to ‘sold’ due to cladding issues, Ben was friendly and responsive throughout nb this also applies to Ben Jordan who handled the transaction initially. Being a first time seller, I had a lot of questions and stress however Ben responded incredibly quickly to everything, chasing the other solicitor and calming me down. I have no doubt we would still have the flat and be paying the awful variable rate mortgage if it wasn’t for Ben’s diligence and care. I could not recommend him more highly
Really poor, slow service, and generally incompetent. Could not recommend John Roberts any less. Repeatedly lost documents that had to be resent by the bank. Tried to convince me to pay for additional work that wasn't needed. Generally just very slow and robotic, you are less like a customer and more like a number. Call up and get messages like well we looked at your account last Wednesday so you are in the line to be viewed again 3 weeks next Thursday. Can't you just do it now? No, well unless you want to pay for the express service. So basically unless you pay more you don't get a basic level of reasonable service. The final straw was when something urgent came up and I called to ask if things could be accelerated. John Roberts showed all the interest and care of a brick. Again just repeatedly told me I was in line for next week and the only way he could look earlier was if I paid £200, and even then it couldn't be striaght away. He's an incompetent solicitor and has literally no level of empathy or understanding of how to provide customer service. In the end I had no choice but to change solicitor at which point it had been around 4 months and RC had made close to zero progress. They were still happy to keep my initial deposit of funds for fees tho. Don't use this company and save yourself some hassle.
The service provided was excellent. I am a first time buyer and my conveyancer walked me through every step. Every time I called with questions, they responded to immediately. I couldn't have asked for more. I would recommend Roberts Crossley to anyone looking to move house, you will be in safe hands.
Very professional and helpful. John Roberts managed our conveyancing for a recent house. He was always on the end of the phone when we rang and couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. In addition via e-mail, John was always quick to respond to any questions or queries we had. I couldn't recommend Robert Crossley Solicitors any higher.
Ben Thomas managed two purchases for us, one that didn’t go ahead and another that was successful. He was approachable, happy to answer queries and actioned things as requested. Would highly recommend - low cost but good quality service.
