Story

Risley Hall Hotel is a popular country retreat between Nottingham and Derby in 10 acres of private landscaped grounds, famous for its fine cuisine, luxurious rooms and outstanding service.
Within the Hotel is the 16th century Baronial Hall, restored to provide a room of great charm and character.
The Manor House has 16 bedrooms, each individually decorated and the fine Restaurant. Adjoining the Manor House is the Willoughby Court wing with a further 19 spacious suites. The Cocktail Bar and Orangery provide light meals and snacks throughout the day and there is a comfortable Drawing Room with an open fire.

Beautiful place. Got upgraded to an amazing room with a lounge etc for free due to our TV not working. Breakfast was delicious too. Very helpful staff especially when our car wouldn't start a lovely gentleman on the reception helped us so thank you. Will definitely be back and even  onside ring having our wedding here. Thank you

Lovely place to hold a party. We held a wedding anniversary party in the Garden room. The staff were very friendly and attentive to all of our needs in a very professional manner. Food/Vintage tea was gorgeous!! X

Lovely looking hotel but a lot of work doing at moment. Shame. Looks like most is incomplete but new decor all around. Part painted walls with new mirrors! Had a stay in a suite. Looked great but again decor was poor. Bathroom looked bare. Tea/Coffee making facilities just thrown on table. Dinner was poor. Stay away from fish and chips. Cheap frozen rubbish. Soup came in what I can only describe as a saucer. Would love the owners to splash the cash as this could EASILY be a 5* hotel.

Really enjoyed an Afternoon tea today. I needed to put in special dietary requirements and these were carried out. Think this was the best afternoon tea that I have had.

Went for afternoon tea, sadly it was a extremely rainy day when we went and we had traveled by public transport so were rather soggy and then when walked down the drive to find a huge puddle that there was no way of getting round was not great, obviously weather can't be helped but after or visit we asked if there was another way to leave to avoid the puddle and there was, ah well we dried off, when we got inside though we were greeted by a lovely lady on reception, she directed us to a area to sit whilst we waited for our table to be prepared, even before seating we were asked what drink we would like and our food followed promptly, all very delicious, the scones warmed, the coffee nice and hot, between us both we couldn't finish it all.
Would definitely return.
