My Mum’s been living in a beautiful assisted living apartment at Richmond Painswick since 2016, and it’s a wonderful place to live. Other reviewers here have done a lovely job of describing the services and benefits, and the peace of mind it gives us to know that our folks are safe and very comfortable and really well looked after. All I’ll add is how universally wonderful the staff are: friendly, polite, considerate and kind. It’s a great sign that many members of staff have been here longer than my Mum, and that quite a few staff members recruit their sons and daughters to work here too! Thank you Richmond Painswick.
Such a beautiful place. This is a five star village with the kindest and most generous and welcoming staff. My 83 year old mother stayed for a two day visit and loved every minute. Super professional and efficient office staff and reception team, so hospitable and genuinely caring. The restaurant is airy and bright and the food is tasty and the staff attentive. The wellness spa is a real treasure and the masseuse excellent. All round wonderful. Highly recommended.
My mum stayed for 5 days recently at Richmond and couldn't fault it at all. The accommodation was of a very high standard, the staff were all very attentive, helpful and pleasant and the restaurant food was good and varied. She wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and is definitely considering it for the future.
Richmond Villages Painswick offered me an opportunity to stay in their beautiful accommodation for two days, during which I was able to not only enjoy the food, comfort and care on offer but also the pool, gym, and classes aimed at wellness and fitness. A truly wonderful ‘retreat’ set in lovely gardens plus the beauty of Painswick village itself.
We have viewed a number of Retirement Villages in the Bristol area and in our opinion Richmond Painswick comes out top. The location is idyllic and the facilities excellent. Most importantly, having Assisted Living apartments and a Care Home onsite means that experienced and properly trained care staff are on hand if needed. Overall, there is a strong feeling of “community” about the village with staff and residents alike offering a very warm welcome.
We recently stayed for a 2 day visit to experience retirement living in this lovely quiet location. The staff and the residents we met were very friendly and the food was excellent. The beautiful swimming pool was a highlight for me.
This is a beautiful place, quite modern but with an old world charm. The staff are always so very helpful and pleasant, there's always a cuppa available. And it's amazing how many different things they lay on, so residents can just relax or get involved with a wide variety of activities. A great place!
This village has everything you want for over 50s . I have met many of the residents who enjoy living here . Some of them reside in their own apartments , some in the care home . It provides them with comfort and security. There are various activities for them depending on their ability to enjoy and keep them occupied . Their meals can be served in the restaurant which is very light and airy or in their own rooms . There is also a cafe where they can meet their friends and families. Some of the activities take place in here , also a library. Each week the residents are given a diary of forthcoming events , eg: films , speakers , trips etc . There is also The Wellness Spa which has a gym , fitness classes , swimming pool, sauna, steam room and whirlpool spa. Plus a hairdressers and beauty treatments. The Wellness spa is open to non residents with a membership either paid yearly or monthly . Often there are beauty treatments on offer advertised monthly, again these are available to non members booked in advance Richmond Village is set in a wonderful part of Painswick with stunning views and many residents enjoy a stroll around the grounds admiring the well kept gardens. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Very attractive architecture in beautiful setting. Charming and caring staff. Lovely pool/spa area.
I attended a spa afternoon with my mum at Richmond Villages Painswick. Gorgeous facilities and lovely food. Seems like a beautiful place to live!
