Our dad was here for only 2 weeks before he passed .nI cannot thank the staff enough for the care he received.nOn the day of his his passing there were 2 nurses who were so amazing and caring with dad. I just wish I had their names.nFrom the bottom of my heart I thank you all that work here. We put our trust in you with our dad's care and you didn't let us down xx
My aunt was recently admitted from the ngh for end of life care the staff were so welcoming and her room was beautiful and cleannSadly auntie Carol only stayed here for 4 days before she passed on 17/12/24 but the care and compassion was above and beyond as a small family we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts
Having work here for almost 1 year,my passion for care has improved because of training and dedication of other carers. The nurses ,the kitchen staff and the domestic staff are all amazing including the management team especially the Manager, we all work together as a team to provide a good care for our residents .
There is no minus star therefore I give 1. In the year mums been here in end of life, we have had to complain numerous times when mum is found dehydrated, empty beakers, unfed as not given assistance ...basic care! Nurses that give incorrect info to paramedics or do not seem to know mums care plan. We as a family go and support mums feeds etc and provide all soft drinks. We have just complained after mum had 3 admissions into hospital over a 6 week period all cited as dehydration. Put in a complaint and have been met with 28 days notice to remove mum because our 'high expectations' ...Managers retaliation where mum suffers. Refused to meet around our working commitments and said we were unreasonable as they only see people 9 till 3 Mon to Friday. Disgusting. Shame for the carers there who really do care.
Having had a walk around with a member of staff & then meeting the manager, we as a family decided this was the right place for my grandad to spend his final days/weeks after being told his end of life was imminent. We really couldn’t have made a better choice, my grandad only ended up spending 3 days in their care before he passed away peacefully surrounded by family, but every single member of staff, nurses, cleaners, carers made us feel welcome and really cared about the residents in the home. My great aunt who visited my grandad said she regretted not placing her husband in this home too, just a year before as it was far superior to one that she did end up choosing. I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who works there, for everything they did, they didn’t just look after my grandad, they looked after every single member of the family visiting too. So thank you
