My Dad bless him went in to get physio, build him up after a hospital stay, we then felt he was trapped and us rendered helpless. Physio none exsistant only when we went and asked, then maybe10 minutes, my Dad went into hospital able to walk, to the home able to stand, hes never walked again.nnSome staff lovely but us the family for ever present, taking in food, he never left his room all the time he stayed, very unpleasant woman berated us for not following rules, yet the rules had not been told to us and seamed to change every visit,nFood odd, dietary requirements not stuck to.nIt's distressful leaving a loved one in these places but some worst than others, basic manners, pleasantries, common decency, not a lot to ask for and don't cost money.
Thought it was going to be a lovely place as it had good reviews, mum lasted 6months from going in there some carers was nice but some not bothered had to write her name on everything as others would come in her room every day and take stuff as my mum was bed bound . They lost her teeth and lost her glasses so she cudnt eat are see properly. Had some carers shout at her but nothing was done about it as she didn't have dementia my mum knew what was going off .the manager at the home was OK ,but the owner was a terrible cus she owned her own house and I couldn't pay he was constantly pestering me for the money till she passed away suddenly I and the level of care dropped if she didn't take her meds they would bin them .she suffered the last couple of weeks there nobody cared not even hospital came to see her .sold house they got there money I would never put anyone in there are Heeley bank as she went there first just awful.
Friendly Staff. Lots of Parking. Support does seem a bit disjointed. Residents get a good lunch, but sandwiches for dinner everyday seems a bit odd.
My Nan received excellent care while she was a resident here. The staff couldn't do enough for her. All the residents have their own room. There is a room available if you want to have a birthday party for your relative who lives there. The home has a large fully enclosed garden for residents to use. This area was also used for a barbeque whilst my nan was there which the residents appeared to enjoy.
My father was resident for 6 months and we were very happy with the care he received, the staff are lovely with the residents and always friendly and helpful on our visits during difficult times.nDad was always happy and he enjoyed dancing with the staff!
