It's a great training academy for up and coming new stylists who are always supervised by the training managers.

I visited here on 2 separate occasions with clients who are  ALD. Both ladies absolutely loved their experiences here. The staff and students were very attentive in Richard John fashion. Starting with a handshake (?? a bit OTT for me!) Offered a drink. They sit with the client to find out what they would like, take them for a hair wash (this is the best bit) once bought back to the chair they then receive a lovely head massage (no, this is the best bit!) Then for the cut & style, I had beautiful ladies (not that they weren't before). My only criticism would be the price, I wanted my ladies to have the experience of a stylish salon at a lower price but on reflection although the Academy was cheaper than the Richard John it was on the same level price wise as most other trained stylists in other salons. You pay different amounts on different days according to the students level, i.e Thursday's are level 2 £28 & Fridays are level 3 £32. I guess the upside is the cut is checked by the trainer before you pay.

Walked in today with no appointment and was seen by Katie/Katy. I'm one of those nightmare people who wants a hair cut but doesn't want to lose too much length and desperately needed an over all tidy and layers put in. Katie/Katy was AMAZING! I've still got my length but my hair looks healthy and shiny, my hair now has some shape and movement and I don't look like cousin It anymore. Could not recommend highly enough :)
