It is very well said, " A beauty is joy for ever". Must visit this place, if you like visiting gardens, love open green places. The Garden Hall has very good facilities even for people having difficulty in walking. Very clean and green huge garden, children play area, cafeteria, restaurants, toilet facilities. Very friendly staff members. The staff 's hard work and their love towards the nature can be seen clearly. Ample Free parking areas... ..Just loving it !!!
I became a member a couple of years ago as it’s great value for money with just a couple of visits with free entry, discounted event tickets and more perks too. Hyde Hall is stunning, an ever changing landscape that means that every time you go there’s something different to see and experience. The big site with bordering woodlands and diverse plant life means you can easily spend a half day here, with good toilet facilities, a great cafe if not a little slow sometimes - but it’s to be expected on busy days - but the service is friendly and the food is great!. Coffee here is good too. Most recent visit was for the Glow event, and lit up after dark it brings a whole new dimension - the trail was varied and winding with audio in some places too. A perfect winter event experience, with great mulled wine as well.
Beautiful grounds took advantage of their annual membership and visit regularly. Ice cream is very over priced the cakes on the other hand taste amazing and are well worth the price. Toilet are clean. Three eateries. Lovely picnic area. Ideal for people of all ages from little tots upwards. Kids play area is great for ages 2-10 then they out grow it a little. The sights are always changing due to the constant variations of planting. You could go once a week and see something new each visit.
Discovered amazing place. Very well looked after with good variety of shrubs, trees, flowers. A lot of sitting areas. Nice choice of indoor plants too. Restaurant and free parking on a site. Says they have playground but that is really sad looking. Wouldn't call it a playground at all. Other then that, really liked it.
This was an amazing night out. I had no idea trees and bushes could look so beautiful. The colour was just phenomenal. Spooky sounds and moving artwork were eye-catching. It's can be a long walk. If you want to do the evening walk, you'll need to wrap up well. One thing I didn't expect was that I found it very relaxing. Enjoy your time here, it's a well worth trip...
One of the best gardens in Essex with a wide range of plants from different areas of the world. Plus planting set for each season. Has a lovely restaurant with very good food and vistas outside in the courtyard of the countryside. Good selections of plants, household stuff in the shop and a cafe at the entrance if you just want shop and have coffee etc. Worth visiting at different times of the year to see how the gardens develop.
A fantastic day spent at this RHS garden. It is so big and the planting so varied and interesting the hours just flew by. I went with my partner and mother-in-law, who uses a mobility scooter, and there were very few paths with steps on the estate. Also had a first-class meal at the restaurant on site. All in all a wonderful day and highly recommended.
This is probably my favourite out of all the 5 main Rhs gardens. The garden makes full use of it's surroundings and you get lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The garden itself has a wide variety of plants with some really interesting plants. There's so much to see and you can spend most of the day here if you are looking at everything. They hire mobility scooters if you need on.
We visited on a blustery March day. Maybe a little early for spring colour, given the colder winter. However, the winter garden was looking stunning, as was the hilltop garden. When the cherry blossom is out the garden will look gorgeous. The sculptures were well chosen too. I think it will be worth coming back later in April for a real show.
Been to the RHS Hyde Hall 3-5 times. Always had a brilliant time going there and never gets old or boring. Went to a couple of special events, the flower show and Glow. We take our 2 year old and she loves running around the grounds. There is a garden centre, cafe and plenty of amenities for staying the day. The cafe does Vegan and Veggie food too, which is a plus for us and is very nice. Things for improving, but only because we have them would be Electric car charge points for visitors coming further afield. Lots of parking otherwise. The photos and videos posted are of our night at Glow.
