Rhubarb cafe is a gem. Living in Steyning we have eaten here several times and the food is always fantastic the service is friendly. I would have given them five stars for the fact that acquaintances of the staff seem to get preferential treatment. During our last visit some thoughtless woman, parked her baby buggy by our table the other side of the cafe from where she was sitting so the duration of our meal was spoilt by the strong smell of nappies, talc and other assorted infant odors. We did not actually complain as I thought it was the duty of the staff to realise, especially as two of us had difficulty getting into our seats because of where the Buggy was position which I might also point out was completely obstructing the fire exit and thus a major infraction of safety regulations.

No.27 is a really fantastic place to eat on a special occasion , i have been there on several occasions and the place is a very intimate little restaurant offering 1st class service and great food , also very good on Valentines night offering champagne and oysters (if you go for that kind of thing) , its pretty expensive on special occasions like Valentines night understandably but normally very reasonable.Highly recommended.
