After reading the review below on how bad the Customer Service was I got quite worried as I was heading in for some fabrics but needed some advice too. After wandering around terrified to ask someone as I usually am! A lovely woman approached me to see if I needed some help. She spent a good 15 minutes with me, if not more and really could not have been more helpful. There was some fabric I'd seen on a model but they had none left so she kindly offered to have some put by for me to pick up when it arrived. My visit to the store was made so easy and I'd definitely go back!
There have been a number of times I have tried to shop here and have been completely ignored by the staff. I thought I would try one more time and went in with my 4 month old to buy material for a costume and whilst there were 4 members of staff and only one costumer other than myself to serve I was once again ignored and when I went up to ask for assistance I was ordered to go and wait while the staff continued to joke and chat around making me wait while my wee one got more distressed. I had to walk out of the shop empty handed and this is not the first time this has happened to me. I really don't want to shop here ever again and I would advise anyone else to look at any other fabric store than this. It is not even like they have a good selection. Absolutely shocking way to treat a customer especially one with a small child. What is worse is that this seems to be the way to treat paying customers on a regular basis.
I came to this store by accident. However, I rate this place highly. I do not know about materials, buttons, threads, generally haberdashery, but the choice of goods in this store and their competitive price prompted me to write this review. I recommend to every person who deals with designing and sewing creations professionally or pruwatnie, for someone or for themselves.
Really helpful service. Bought more products than I thought I would. I loved the place but I am muchly into improving & building on my crafty interests & I love to make things for myself & others.
Visiting Glasgow and wanted to pop in. Impossible to find, its one up above a shoe shop. Limited fabrics, wanted viscose to make a top. Was told fabrics are sorted by colour. Not helpful and i didnt see them sorted by colour. Asked a lady to help but she just said look around and if i found something i liked she would tell me if it was suitable for a top. Wasted more time looking for the shop than i did in it. There must be better fabrics shops in Glasgow.
Hidden away. The doorway is around the corner - stairway and lift plus stairs to 2nd floor. Quite a big fabric shop, good selection and a forever changing remnant bin - you need to go frequently.
if it wasnt for the humid weather i would spend all day here! every fabric and all the wee tools to make whatever you want! brilliant prices and choices too plus the staff are lovely
Love the fact that you have increased your quilting fabrics and precuts. Only one complaint, you need to get decent cotton thread now that you are a quilting centre. We need a good selection of cotton thread. Polycotton is no use to a quilter.
Great range of fabrics to choose from. Friendly, approachable staff. Very well laid out and easy to find what you are looking for.
Just the place to go if you like to make your own costumes with the kids or if like like make your own cloths in stuff got every material you need and staff are helpful just be little patience as can be a bit busy at times...
