I can't speak for anyone else but my experience was lovely. Customer service, friendly, polite and efficient. I ordered cow foo, white rice and cabbage, which was crunchy and on point in flavour. My friend had stew chicken, rice and peas with calslaw. It was just lips everywhere. You get what you pay for, which is overflowing. The rum cake is a must have.
Love supporting black owned businesses especially my island people but the customer service/attitude could be better. Good vibes is always a must when serving customers. The food itself had great taste but the texture wasn’t exactly there when it came to the sweet chilli wings as the chicken itself was overcooked so couldn’t finish/enjoy them : the chow mein and escovitch fish was lovely. Brought some Jamaican fruit punch and fresh sorrel juices aswell, can’t wait to taste them. Will visit again but hopefully I’m met with more welcoming energy and wings that haven’t been overcooked.
I have not been here for years. I was passiby by so I thought let me try. The worst patty I have had in looooong time. Taste is not bad but this skinny sogy thing was not worth my while to look for parking and all that. I noticed they use plastic containers and warm food in microwave in them. Not very appealing to me. Shame.
Wed 2nd Oct '2024: First time here, when I entered there were 2 people in front of me and when I looked behind 5mins later there was a big cue. I ordered X2 peas soups and they were lovely. Most def recommend and will be back for more food.
Totally disgraceful!! Ordered a large cabbage and saltfish meal… not one piece of saltfish only cabbage and rice! I dug all the way through, not even lil flecks or taste of saltfish! Never again refill will I waste my money! Scam artist
I got pepper steak with rice and peas. I waited a while, while the staff were having their own conversations. The pepper steak was over salty. They need to be more mindful with the salt content. I will not be going back! I have my blood pressure to think about and so should you all.Food: 1/5
Only come here if you’re desperately hungry. There weren’t many options for me after 11:30pm. The staff was def rude but if you had me packed in a box with too many people, I would be rude as well. Seeing them maneuver in that small space was chaos. Anyway my chicken was undercooked and the rice and peas lacked flavor. And the chicken patty wasn’t crisp. The food was edible and tolerable. This isn’t the Caribbean food I know from the states, sad to know this is what yall eating in Brixton.
A busy 24/7 West Indian takeaway. The food is not very nice. I have tasted better, I think as it's gotten popular the food standard has gone downhill. The current queuing system is very unorganised and the place is not very clean. I know it's quite busy but it just seems untidy for food premises. The staff are quite rude.
The food is good, well flavoured and quite a good price in comparison to a few other takeaways In Brixton. They give a good portion, they are always busy so the high turnaround ensures you get fresh food. The customer service is bad, the start are slow and do not have patience with their customers!!! They need to realise that not everyone is Jamaica, when people ask what the meals are, they should explain without giving an attitude. The drink selection use to be good, the fridge is mostly empty lately.
Melissa and sheree, the porridge nice!!! Went in there with little knowledge about what I want, but left there with the best option. Peanut, cashew & cornmeal fire. Thanks again to the team, always pleasant going in there. Only thing I would say to improve on is the temperature in the shop.
