Just a two night break and very easy to find this place just off the M6 Jnct 35. Good clean and comfortable accommodation ( we stayed in the Mallard Lodge ). Spoke with 3 of the team members and all seemed okay and helped us with information where appropriate or enquired for. Cold wind and the fishing was tough to be fair. Grounds are good even though there is a lot that is probably being continually improved. Great meal at the Redwell Inn just walking distance away so cannot fault the location for what we wanted during our short stay.

Lovely couple. Very welcoming. Very helpful. Fantastic location. I liked that they were very tentatavive, prior to my arrival Ken contacted me to see if I needed any information. They ensured we understood the safety procedures for the hot tub. The hot tub was checked daily and chemicals added where needed. And........my little parsons terrier was most welcome. That chilled and lovley Im booking again for September andvtaking my folks.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. This place doesnt even deserve one star. I took my young boy fishing here today however we didn't stay. We had tried calling several times this morning to see if they were open and had space however they never answered. We hadnt tried this lake before so drove down to reception to see if we could fish. We knocked on reception but no answer and no one seemed to be about. Just as we decided to leave the owners partner came over and was lovely she explained we shouldn't be parked there so I apologised and said we'd move the car. She said it was ok to unload our things first. we had quite a lot of tackle and I'm only a petite woman and it's a very long walk down to the lake from the car park. The lady went off to get our change. The owner stormed out being incredibly aggressive shouting abuse at me about our car being there. I felt very intimidated as he was shaking with anger. I tried several times to try to explain that id spoke to his partner but he just continued to shout over me. My poor boy was terrified. We quickly left and will definitely never return. We went to clear waters instead just down the road.. £2 cheaper and we received exceptional customer service.

Had to call as couldn't find the place to fish. Didn't seem interested as we weren't staying and just wanted to fish for the day. When we arrived the reception sign was worn out so hard to find. Finally knocked and the guy answered but shrugging his shoulders. Very unfriendly person. Also no tackle present. Wouldn't recommend and 100% won't be back!!!
