Only stopped for a shower. Decent parking area proppa old school truck stop staff were very friendly and helpful. I didn't have food but the smell made me very hungry and that's normally a good sign. Will go there again
Proper old fashioned transport cafe with friendly staff. £10 to park with a £5 meal voucher, freshly cooked dinner at a decent price, clean showers that are free and a pub next door. Happy days.
This appears to be the same cafe I LOVED in 1966 while a yank stationed at RAF Lakenheath and also frequented by my English lorie driver brother-in-law. Food was spectacular and plentiful. Brings back wonderful memories. Regards.
First time visiting after almost two years,after saying never again. Proves I was right back then. The quality of the food has deteriorated to levels I did not think possible. It is definitely never, ever again.
Awesome caff, full of local colour. If you are looking for a gastropub to enjoy with your wannabe food reviewer friends, don't come here. If you want an honest breakfast or lunch with your mates or on the road, this is the place for you.
Hadn't been in Red Lodge cafe for at least 15years, and I don't think they've decorated in that time, however you don't go into a cafe to admire the decor. Red Lodge is a proper cafe, no airs or graces good food, friendly chatty staff who were very welcoming. Would I call again yes, and there's not many places you can park overnight for a tenner. Big lorry park and a pub next door, what's not to like a thumbs up for Red Lodge
Large breakfast was large, good pile of chips but not your regular shape. Egg possibly over cooked but I like it like that, so just ask them to cook to your preferences. Bacon could have been crispier, the fat is not something I like unless it looks like a pork scratching!
It's ok for a quick breakfast. But it's so outdated theres no life in the place what so ever its oile being in the 1950s Foods okay cheap enough. Cheap parking £10 showers there. And a pub
