Red Kite Cycles

Popped in as total newbie looking for advice about clothing and cleats etc. Really friendly staff and helped me purchase some padded shorts and jersey (which were half price!). The changing room wasn't available as it was full of stock, so had to try them on in the very cold bathroom, but the assistant was really apologetic. Very happy with my purchases. Love the fact that they give their staff the day off on a Sunday to enjoy their chosen sport. I think more shops should shut on a Sunday!

Great shop. Know their stuff. Good mix of staff. Not all kiddies like you get at the big stores. Proper service.

Wonderful staff, amazing selection of stock and the staff are friendly and always willing to help. Got myself a brand new set of speedplays this Christmas after much deliberation and speaking to the staff and they’re working an absolute dream - some things may be slightly more expensive than online but the smashing customer service is well worth it. Definitely going to be coming here for the foreseeable future

Needed rear brake sorting. Only option put forward was £75 upwards for replacement. I said it was an old bike and I didn't want to spend much money. This was the only option. Went online to a BIG WELL KNOWN CYCLE RETAILER and ordered a Shimano Brake assy (lever,hose,caliper) for £25 not £75. Red kite could have ordered this part for £25 and fitted for £12 but all they wanted to do was sell me expensive parts. Bike now works a dream for a £25 online order.Wont go back.
