Lovely buzzy restaurant !!! The food was delicious and the veg feast was great value for money. I think a bit more description about what you were getting on the feast would’ve been better. Lovely little pudding for my birthday too. It’s busy and quick paced, if you are looking for a quiet relaxing dinner, this might not be the place. The paneer is a must!
I love Rasa! The food is always so delicious and there are so many options, which for a vegan is usually not the case. It was extremely busy when we visited and they asked for the table back after just an hour but luckily we were finished. I am obsessed with the masala dosa and order it every time I dine in. I've ordered it once for delivery but it doesn't travel too well and was soggy so it's a big reason to visit in person. The staff are lovely and the music was great! Dietary restrictions: The whole menu is vegetarian and many are also vegan friendly so it's a great place! A lot of the dishes are also gluten free.
for under £20 per head for food and drink, this was a really fab spot for great vegetarian and vegan keralan food. next time i feel we should get the dosa as other table’s looked really good. Vegetarian options: clearly labelled vegan and gluten free dishes
This is such a fantastic place for South Indian / Kerala cuisine! We were able to get seated on a Friday despite not having a reservation, which was lucky! Everything was really great! A particular standout was the paratha: best paratha I’ve ever had!!! The masala dosa and paneer spinach were also fantastic. The ambiance is wonderful: it’s ornately decorated and warm. It’s absolutely worth the Overground ride to Stoke Newington!
Come here hungry so that you can fest on their super-affordable vegetarian feast. You will get an assortment of crunchy crackers and different chutneys followed with some Keralan style fritters paired with their own sauces. The main is huge and we got vegetables curry, a spicy daal, cabbages, and a delightful creamy aubergine dish with rice and two types of bread. The rice pudding dessert is a lovely finale as it wraps the scrumptious meal with a mellow, cinnamon note. Will come back!
Great dinner at Rasa. We shared all dishes between the table - the mango curry in particular was a delicious surprise as part of the vegan feast. Since it comes with starters, mains and dessert, the feast is an amazing value for money option! Parking on a nearby road was absolutely fine in the evening.Food: 5/5
Train your staff some table etiquette!!! We were a group of 7 work colleagues and our Keralan experience ended on a sour note. Wish the staff had been trained for some table etiquette. Just as we sat down, in matter of 10 minutes, the guy serving us came thrice asking for drinks.. I mean let us settle down a bit! Then while placing the order for mains, I started with breads because that page was open on menu for me, but the guy insisted to start with “Dosa, then mains, then breads”. And when I stopped, he goes, “ this is it” ! One of those restaurants which want you to order more, glad I didn’t budge and we ordered enough food which we were able to finish happily. They seemed to be in a great rush to serve and make us leave. The same guy, came to clear the table and one of my colleagues who hadn’t finished yet, picked up her plate as well, she asked him twice to leave it. Worst was at the end was he cleared the table and without asking us for desserts put the bill on table. That’s when I spoke to the other staff member who was not at all apologetic about the whole experience and pointed out that the table was reserved only for an hour and 30mins which we weren’t aware of. He insisted that it’s given when we book but the colleague who booked didn’t see it and we could have been informed when we sat down. The server then very rudely picked up the bill and said will get the desserts menu now which obviously we declined. I am rating Rasa for their starters and Rasam, masala and chilly onion rawa dosa, appam & parotha. Curries weren’t that great and didn’t give me a true Keralan experience.
Great food, Although as a family we are not full time vegetarians, i prefer food without the addition of poor quality meat particularly the MRM chicken that is prevalent in many restaurants. Rasa was Excellent value with so much flavour, across lots of shared dishes, I think Rasas has been doing the now fashionable small plates style of service for years but with out the hefty price tag
Don't look no further if you want to try the best Indian cuisine from Kerala in London! The staff is absolutely lovely and the food is delicious! Ideal if you have a dairy intolerance like me.. and meat eaters will definitely enjoy it too! i absolutely love this place, and bring all my friends and family whenever they come visiting me in Stokie. Cheap considering quality of food and location. Dietary restrictions: I am dairy intolerant
Very good and tasty south Indian food. Great selection of starters. Awesome desserts.Did not have reservations, we had to wait outside to get in. Vegetarian options: Dosa
