The broth is delicious - the best I've had in London, and probably out if any pho place, period. Recommendation: try the flash fried steak broth. It's unorthodox, a Rao creation, that you won't regret choosing. Smokey, rich broth with tender steak, served by a friendly and helpful staff. Really relaxing atmosphere. Many people come here to eat alone - a testament to the relaxed atmosphere and worth-travelling-for food. Easiest five stars I've ever awarded.
Honestly from my heart, I've not been as happy in a restaurant for an absolute age. I originally visited Rao 3 years ago before the pandemic hit and it was great then so I was absolutely delighted to see it had survived, had a refurb, was open for business and what joy that it has survived because the food is utterly utterly sensational. The food has a wonderful balance between delicate and punchy and every mouthful was an awakening of senses. Sweet, salty, spicy and sharp, it all made my eyes roll in delight and I kind of got high on it all. This is down to one of the partners Ryan and his team providing great service and undeniably beautiful food. Rao is special, it's Vietnamese food at it's very best and I absolutely encourage you to try it. I traveled 200 miles to go to Rao and other than seeing family it was the main reason for my visit so I hope you're getting a feeling for just how magical this restaurant is!
I recently dined at the Rao Deli restaurant in Elephant Castle, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The restaurant is located in Borough High St offers a cozy, casual dining experience that is perfect for both solo diners and groups. I love it

I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. Everything is so delicious!! If you like Vietnamese food like pho, you must try Rao deli! Please I beg you to try. Their rice dishes are equally good too. This is the only place we missed so badly during lockdown, and we rushed to visit again as soon as they are open after lockdown. Amazing amazing food In fact this is my first ever google food review because of it.
Their tofu summer rolls honestly taste better than the prawn summer rolls. If they serve with nuoc cham, it will deserve 6 stars because it is just absolutely authentic! Minus 1 star because the service is absolutely toooooooo sloooooooow!
It is legitimately the best pho I have ever had in my life. I dreamt about it and ruined every other pho for me
