Staff were more than helpful, especially Becky at the front desk, with info on buses and taxis. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and nicely decorated. Extremely quiet in our room, even with music going downstairs we slept right through. Bed was exceptionally comfortable and everything is Solihull is literally a minutes walk away. Will hopefully stay again and again.
Don't let the outside deceive you! We have a deluxe suite here as we came away for an event. The staff were super friendly for the start and made check in quick and easy. The room was very nice although there was no fan or air conditioning but the staff later brought us a fan on request. Later on we decided to order food to the hotel where the hotel staff also worked to get us some cutlery. Overall would definitely recommend nothing seemed to much to ask and I will return.
We really enjoyed our stay here again. I stayed with my future wife here on our 1st big date 10 years ago and it was just as great staying here back then as it is now. The room was more then adequate and had everything we needed for a restful sleep and a great relaxing time. The friendly helpful staff are awesome anything we needed they could fix literally in seconds. Nothing is a problem for this team. They even let me fix breakfast and take it back to my room on the second day which was really cool. Nothing beats a great full English in bed. Breakfast is really great with different options that cater for every taste and endless tea, coffee, juices and breakfast seconds and thirds if you're still hungry. I'm a veggie and my wife is a meat eater and we were both really happy with the menu options and they even made us veggie sausages. The hotel is situated in central Solihull. Everything you need is just a short walk away and you're closer to both the city and the beautiful surrounding countryside. We can both really recommend staying here for any occasion. We look forward to staying here again in the very near future.
Absolutely beautiful place to stay. We had one of the town house suites and it was amazing. It was a Christmas treat for my boyfriend and myself. The hotel was extremely clean and the room was well stocked. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Food delicious and a lovely selection at both dinner and breakfast.
Pleasantly surprised! The room was very good for a standard double with a comfy bed, nice standard of bathroom with a good sized walk in shower. A good sized tv, mini fridge & safe. Nice view over the bowling green & nice and quiet. Reception was a quick & easy process with the added bonus of free parking. Can't comment on the hotel facilities as only stayed as a use for a night out in Solihull so room only
Avoid this hotel if possible . I am normally not the review type of person ,but the experience in the hotel has forced me to write a review. The hotel has lost my laundry and when I spoke to reception staff Margot , she was behaving really rude.when asked if I could speak to a manager she got aggressive and started shouting as if it's my fault that the hotel has mixed all the laundry from all the rooms.food is also terrible .they will put dry burger in buns with no salad or sauce and slap it on your face. RECEPTION takes for ever to process your request .staff are miserable except few who are really good . Maybe it's a different experience for other guests, but dont expect good service when you check in .
The room was great - as they were busy I got upgraded to a suite! However, the layout of this hotel is rather warren-like and only has one lift, which could pose issues for anyone with mobility problems. The reception staff were helpful and friendly, but there were issues with both check in and check out which meant things took longer than they should have. Decor is rather tired, but refubishment works are underway which will hopefully give it a more updated, modern feel. As nice as the room was the hotel restaurant was very disappointing. The menu was very limited and basic, made even more so by the fact they'd run out of some options! The food itself when it arrived was lacklustre - the menu said gammon steak with chips, with egg or pineapple - instead of chips it was roasted new potatoes nice but not what you expect when it states 'chips', the slice of fresh pineapple was so thin they might as well not have bothered plus the skin was left on why leave inedible parts on my plate? And the gammon itself had a rather large flabby bit of fat on the side - i expect some fat but this was excessive! Sadly breakfast was no better - fried eggs were completely solid despite being 'freshly' cooked when brought out, bacon was not crispy and in one large congealed lump. Did not enjoy the food here one iota, and had an upset stomach later that day as a result. Considering the price/location I think I'd be inclined to return to the St John's Hotel instead of staying at the Ramada again!
Reception staff are lovely and very helpful. Rooms are mediocre. Good size but not the best as they are quite dated and stains on walls or bath etc. Food in both restaurants is fantastic however the staff in both restaurants really need an attitude boost. We have been ignored. Been spoken to rudely. To the point we refuse to eat there now. Staff changes will make this a 5 star place
A great hotel situated in a lovely town. I was here on job training and the facilities on offer were fantastic. The rooms are a good size and are clean. The food available is fantastic and varied, featuring Indian, pub food and restaurant styled food. Breakfast is also served and very tasty. The staff are all lovely to talk to, especially Liz in the restaurant area who makes sure you are alright and comfortable. Highly recommended!
Well all I can say is that the entire and I mean all the staff are helpful and friendly. The room was absolutely fine. There two restaurants serve great food at a reasonable price. The corridors are a bit dated but I believe it is a work in progress. Overall well located, close to airport and local shopping if you're like me!!!. I would have no hesitation in going back for a third visit. Thanks to all
