Nantwich is a Station on the Crewe - Shrewsbury Branch of Transport for Wales. The station has a ticket machine on platform 2 and a footbridge so you can cross platforms if you wish to explore the station. Platform 1 is for trains To Shrewsbury and Platform 2 is for trains to Crewe. There is a shelter on both platforms. A relatively small station but handy for Nantwich town centre.
Two platform local railway station on the line between Crewe and Shrewsbury. Hourly services in both directions. There is a ticket vending machine on one of the platforms. Very basic facilities although they have some nice floral displays.
What a lovely little traditional train station Ideal for journeys to Shrewsbury and beyond to Wales Furthermore there are direct trains to Manchester Piccadilly the other way .. yes direct trains Just outside the station is the centre of Nantwich that makes this station ideal
Pretty flower tubs and baskets, plenty of public seats on the square, pedestrian only areas, a beautiful parish church, independent retailers, fresh produce market Tuesday morning Thursday and Saturday, a programme of special markets ...farmers, antiques, artisans, flowers,.... music and food festivals and civil war re-enactment in January. Street cafes and quiet buskers.
Only visited, used the train. Why are there so few Carriages but loads of people, who have bought a ticket for a seat, won't have a seat because the world and it's wife got on this train. The capacity standing is dangerous. The station very basic, does not cater for people if they need a lift, there is only a ticket machine and steps.
