Came to visit the V&A, and MacManus, also stroll round Discovery
You have to be almost psychic to find disabled parking, when you do find it, the door just two feet away is for staff only!!!! If You are a disabled customer you have to walk for a disabled person a considerable amount passed the hotel, around the corner to get in the main entrance, million of £'s spent tarting it up but you forget disabled people and the every day struggles. Once in the station, there is a lift, but to get on the station you need a ticket so if you are waiting for someone then your stuffed if you want a coffee or a toilet. This just shows you why people with disabilities hate traveling on trains. Have you never heard Disabled Right of Access, you really need to get your act together and treat everyone equally. I know I will never use Dundee station again, I would advise people with disabilities to avoid like a plauge....... See entrance blocked off, in photo,my car through the door.
The new station is open 9.7.18 and it's a fitting addition to the new Waterfront! A thoroughly modern and airy gateway!! Certainly is spiffing now finished.Good location and will be ideal for all the new attractions! Helpful friendly staff. Operating as normal.
Conveniently located on the outskirts of City Centre and across the street from the V & A Dundee made traveling to Dundee hassle free.
Well worth a visit to Dundee, plenty to see & The V&A adds value. Had some great food in their 2nd floor restaurant.
Dundee. Perfect. V&A, DCA, The Rep Theatre, McManus Galleries. Food galore, great night life. Fabulous Universities. Great base for travelling about Scotland. Broughty Ferry! My home town Beach, Tay Road and rail bridges. Short trip to Cairngorm National Park, Glamis Castle, St Amdrews. Train hub for Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Come and have fun!
Guess it's been recently renovated , actually it looks really nice , modern and spacious . However train service is still the worse, hope to see some improvements in the near future, the Scot rail Android /iOS app is a great tool to plan your trips and buy your tickets, however still lots of joiners get cancelled or delayed.
Caledonian Sleeper Guest lounge very useful for pre- or post- travel. Recently refurbished it includes showers, toilets and a seating area. Free tea/coffee, Irn Bru ! and Sprite, plus some basic snacks like biscuits and crisps. Given that the train from London arrives around 6am it's useful to have somewhere to collect yourself before stepping foot in the city!
Trains seem to leave earlier than the time your given has happened 3 times to me now
