Wow! What a gem on the Hagley Road! My partner and I had a late breakfast here on a Saturday, and what a joy it was. My partner ordered the Saganaki omelette and I ordered the Feta omelette. We also got two black americanos. The food arrived quickly, and was sublime. Both omelettes came with a lime wedge, a pickled pepper, raw onion, fresh mint, fresh basil and fresh flat leaf parsley. I greatly appreciated the herbs as I love them all, and I personally seasoned my omelette liberally with them. The omelettes also came with sesame flatbread, which we used to mop our plates clean! The coffees were great as well, with my only very minor note being that it would have been nice to have them in a glass with a handle, as they were too hot to handle for about 10 minutes. There is a single loo, which is accessible and well-maintained. Bonus points for a lovely sink basin. I'm including photos of the menu, which we were told has been recently updated. I think the prices are very reasonable for such good quality food. The cafe is decorated very nicely, and my only note about the general ambience was that the music was a very slight bit too loud for my taste. The staff were friendly and helpful, and created a friendly atmosphere. We will be back soon for a lunch and / or dinner - thank you Cafe Rumi!
AVOID this place! Very expensive and poorly manged! We ordered a breakfast for two which was £19:95 and as you can see from the photo it was 3 plain fried eggs!!! And a bit of sides! I am not sure how they worked it out to have 3 eggs in a breakfast for two, but it genuinely was a rip off. Also, the Turkish Menemen was nothing even close to the original Turkish recipe and it was more tomato pure with egg! They could have called this something different, but this was NOT Turkish Menemen. I did raise the issue with the waiter as soon as the food came, especially on the portion and quality off the breakfast for two, he did apologise and said he would pass it to the manager, however when the manager came, and he was told about our complaint, he couldn’t care less and was not even bothered to come forward to explain or listen to the feedback. Very unprofessional and arrogant! It was embarrassing as I had taken my non-Iranian friends there to show them a bit of our food and hospitality culture but what we had was a disgrace! Unfortunately, these type of people like the manager has no morality to respect and understand what they are representing if they call their business related to a culture. They only think about their benefit. I had tow share my food with them as the breakfast for two was definitely not for two people even if they don’t eat much and the quality of the food was disappointing! I would not recommend the place, and I hope this feedback gives you a heads up of what you are going to face there.

Update: Came back again after a year here! Still love it. Ordered Persian omelette and absolutely loved it. The staff are probably the politest and friendliest of people I’ve ever seen in hospitality. Kudos to you all. The place is filled with love and cosines. ———————————————- Lovely place for breakfast. I stayed near this cafe for a few days and everytime breakfast didn’t disappoint. Great coffee and food. Service is great. Staff are very friendly. Can’t recommend it more.
Bad services, really disappoited, and never come there again. The waitress didn't jot down what we ordered then she came to ask us 3 times about what we ordered for drinks. They did everything really slowly even for bills, we had to ask many times for everything salt, paper and even our drinks. They brought hot Cappuccino after my partner finished eating and in a glass which we can pick it up to drink, just took a sip and left as Cappuccino tasted like water
Excellent food and big portion, service, It's my first time to try Persian food and I loved to come again!Food: 5/5
Visited on the other day with mate to have bite after morning exercise. welcoming by friendly and helpful staff, and nice ambiance, well decorated cafe. Even though Mainly providing Persian tastes, menu got some taste of Mediterranean. Nice place to have brunch as they got a rich menu. I went with Turkish sujuck melemen, taste was okay but they could have done better.while was there Just figured out many people visiting for Kale Pachekinda meaty food, had Turkish version of it but next will try their style.
Persian style breakfast of a superior quality served by a charming member of staff. Persian omelette and fattoush salad, with freshly made orange juice and espresso. Great atmosphere too - sat outside in the morning sun.
