I stayed at the Queens hotel travelling from Jersey to the Scilly Isles. Easy to find with onsite parking. Lovely old traditional building, helpful and pleasant staff. My room was clean, fresh and warm on a blustery rainy day, with a great view. Fab breakfast included. Nothing negative to say and would def stay there again.
Went here today for lunch with a friend. The food was lovely and the Thai beef salad I had was one of the nicest lunches I have had. Really tasty and fresh salad ingredients. Waitress really pleasant. Will definitely return.
Breakfast was ok , I would forget about those sausages though.. rock hard.nNot enough staff for meal times , so go for your breakfast/meal early , especially if you've arranged to go somewhere at a certain time . Staff were all lovely and helpful however.nBar staff the same , Not enough staff.nI Was there 3 nights , no tea coffee replenishment ,nin fact , no maid service for the whole of the stay.nLast morning there, went down really early , was half an hour before breakfast set up , asked about an early breakfast on the day and #Andy couldn't do enough , went above and beyond .nOnly given 2 * on service , that's no reflection on the staff , it is because more staff are needed..
Nice old style hotel a little bit worn in places but expected.bathroom was excellent, refurbished recently breakfast was good would be improved by a buffet arrangement. The location is excellent and with the parking it's a good 3star hotel. Although I didn't and wouldn't pay over 100quid ,online it's priced much higher .
On a day out to penzance, the queen's Hotel was a refreshing haven to escape the British weather, with a warm and friendly service from the staff as you would expect from a regal named hotel.nThis is a warm and inviting place to relax whatever the weather day or night.
