I called for a quick pint and a snack on a Tuesday lunchtime. The car park is a good size and I found the staff friendly and courteous. A good selection of draught lagers and 4 real ales on tap. Snack prices were moderately priced and my selection was well presented and enjoyed!
Unexpected good quality pub food in a rural location. Delighted to have white table linen & hand towels in the lavatories. Service was excellent and there was an exciting menu of well cooked food. On a sunny day, the outside area would be most inviting.
Dinner was disappointing, £5.25 for a can of Heinz soup and some bread. Pie of the day was tasty but pastry was rock hard, probably been under a heat lamp for a good while. Breakfast however was delicious. Room was comfortable although bath/shower quite tired
Excellent pizza great staff.
Ideal place to stay for people working away from home, such as myself. I've happily just extended another week. It is a village pub with rooms, doesn't pretend to be a grand hotel. I love the friendly atmosphere with locals popping in for a drink and chat. Food is good.
Was here for a private function and the finger buffet was really good, had plenty of choice of both savoury and sweet items.
The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was very good, the family room I stayed in was comfortable, the only problem was I couldn't get the old windows closed fully, apart from a good place.
