Shocking experience Had some storm damage earlier this year, got a quotation approx £4,000 to repair the roof and forwarded it. Very slow to respond, more damage being created meanwhile. Finally received an instruction to proceed and instructed the builder in good faith. Repair work was completed and builder sent in invoice Same value. Passed this on, they then disagreed with quotation and offered £965 !!! even though they had instructed based on the quotation. Hassled them for a good while, no shift. How these people are not regulated is shocking and looking at some other reviews I am not alone. I will now be taking this up with Ombudsman. Terrible experience
A third party reversed their pick up teuck into our car. QBE accepted fault but used a company called FMG to handle the claim on their behalf. FMG Total Loss team and QBE provided the worst customer care I've ever experienced. Appalling.

Absolutely useless even when 3rd party admitted liability it took over a month to get our work vehicle recovered, so something tells me they don't know what they are doing! When they finally pass your details on to the recovery team the recovery team then ask you for copies of all the pictures again so no actual management of the account taking place I'm basically doing their account management for them! Enterprise also called to provide a hire vehicle, nothing similar or suitable and want to know all about the accident info which had already been submitted to the team at QBE - Avoid unless you want to waste lots of your time
Terrible service! I was ran over by a truck 3 months ago and they had QBE insurance. Getting compensation for my claim has been almost impossible. I have sent all my evidence and have been waiting for weeks now that these get reviewed. The person in charge of my claim doesn’t show as “available” as their colleagues say when I call. Don’t know what to do at this point. We have settled an amount for one of the payments two weeks ago and he’s still due to send this to finance so I can start getting paid. Utterly disappointing and shocking. Chasing them up has become a full time job for me now.
This company is insuring the 3rd party that hit my motorbike and they have declined to come and see the damage on our bike in order to assess the damage and pay us, and so we are unable to get our motor back as they decline to come by. This also means that the 3rd party is paying more and more as cost are just accruing as every single day our motors are standing in the garage. This company is an absolute JOKE and so unprofessional. Looks like they don't care about getting our claim sorted and so we will have to get a solicitor to help.
The most unprofessional way of working here. Someone who is insured with QBE knocked over my motorbike and has caused severe damage. QBE is legally required to check out the damage on my motorbike that has been caused by the person they insure so they can pay out accordingly. As this company is an absolute joke, they refuse to check out the damage. Leaving me without a vehicle for months whilst they're racking up the cost. There's a special place in hell for you QBE. It's called court. I highly recommend you to not get insured with this company as they clearly don't give a damn about best practice and don't event follow legal procedure.
The worst company to deal with. Taken over 10k a year and has refused to pay out. No point having insurance. Take your custom elsewhere. I'm happy to talk to anyone about this dreadful company. Its taken 8 months for them to come back and say no! Wont even cover the damage. Had to close company now . 40k plus of theft and damage and they won't pay out a penny . We even have police arrests but no!. Do not pay them you might aswell not bother!
I don’t know how many stars I should put. “You decide” So I had an accident with the blue lights not my fault. Chasing them to pay back the excess was so hard! Been on the phone all morning and they’ve just been kicking a football around! After 6 different calls to 3 different departments I finally got to this agent called joe! He’s so helpful and professional, dealt with the matter seamlessly and know exact what I was looking. Then he transferred me to Johnathan in blue light department what a guy! Please QBE employ more people like them!
I don't write bad reviews but......... An absolute disgrace, my daughter has been left with a botched repair on a car that cost £17000 and that was only one month old! It is an issue that is currently being investigated by the legal . She has suffered personal injuries and has suffered substantial loss of earnings. It took 7 months to arrange a medical examination, a medical examination that took LESS THAN 4 minutes! They asked for so much documentation, which was swiftly produced, yet took 7 months to arrange a medical. They refuse to pay loss of earnings until they receive the medical examination report which will probably be on the back of a postage stamp considering the length of time it took yet they have physiotherapy reports from Their appointed physiotherapist! They have doctors notes from my daughter's GP, they have a letter from my daughter's employer confirming she is unable to work due to injuries sustained from her crash! Delay delay delay! We sent bank statements from internet Banking, they wouldn't accept them - they wanted hard copies from the bank. She has had 3 claims handlers! It is still ongoing........QBE - You should be ashamed! Avoid using this company like the plague!!! @@@@@Update 25/10/2021.....STILL NO RESOLUTION! It's been over three years now and STILL this matter has not been sorted....three medical specialists later appointed by QBE and yet the matter is still unresolved....How? Fobbed off at every turn...the original incident was in May 2017. Disgusting firm! You should be ashamed! I have just read the other reviews, your company should be investigated! We pay our insurance premiums to safeguard us from what is normally a traumatic time in our lives.. Dealing with your company increases the trauma ten fold! My daughter's incident was 100% no fault with the third parties admitting full liability and responsibility .............and yet it is still unresolved? How ? Why? Its sickening the way you get away with this despicable behaviour. I hope the FCA investigate you and expose you for sub standard service and unprofessional behaviour. .What happened to conduct your business with integrity? AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID
