Personally I like this gym, it's just too busy. If you're like me and only get the chance to exercise after work expect a lot of waiting around for benches to become free and forget about the squat rack. Its cheap and no contract, but that means groups of teenagers treating it like a social.. I'm now paying more for a gym i don't like as much so I can keep a quick workout, quick. If you can go at quiet times then all good.

Always seems very clean and the equipment is well maintained. Can get very busy at peak times, but that’s expected from a gym that’s so central. The only real disappointment i’ve had is that there is a new trainer here called Karl who I think is from Australia. He is an absolutely horrid man who frequently makes misogynistic comments to and about women. This isn’t just some way of getting people in his class to work hard - i’ve seen him wink at women and tell them to ‘save the panting for the bedroom later’. It’s a shame he’s a bit of a smear on this otherwise great gym.

As someone who feels really uncomfortable in a gym, I agree with Kyle Blackburn's review that it's an unthreatening environment. I'd go so far as to say it can be quite friendly. I tend to go early in the morning so maybe I haven't experienced the peak time busy periods which might feel very different. It's clean, good mix of equipment, great staff and excellent price, plus the central location. I need to give a special mention to one of the personal trainers, Carmen Lucy: I've been training with her for nearly six months now and she might be the main reason why I feel very positively towards this gym. Very professional, thoughtful and has a personalised approach which has given me a renewed confidence about using a gym.

Incredibly disappointing. Despite what they say on there website, pure gym make it difficult, and laborious to cancel your membership, they provide incorrect, and misleading advice about cancelling. And if you do want to speak to them about it, they make you call on a 50p per minute phone number, and wait on hold for some time. I would not recommend!

I go to this gym long time but this what happens with aircondition and ventilation plus the males changing rooms and bathrooms which most off the times are so dirty i can discribe it as ridiculus!!!!and dangerous for our health!!!its so cold outside especially the last days and its even more cold inside!!!!the management does not know how to use properly the airco.its winter not summer!!!plus during the summer is always off the airco.and ventilation,toilets always blocked and dirty!!!showers smells!!!!and big mess with equipment because nobody cares!!All the trainers do their best but a solution must be find soon!!!I believe its unprofessional to receive an answer to my question about the airco or ventilation like:if y ant to get warm ,you need to run more!!!!or wear a jumber!!this is totally unprofessional and against the health of customers!!!and another question is why the mangement allow to ll people to use the equipment etc with no towels!!??is this heatlhy?and safe?i hope and believe that there will be a solution to all these very soon!!!nothing against the trainers please.Its not the first time me and many customers there mention to management but nothing happens!!!
