I attended here for a week while visiting family. Price is good for a very well stocked gym in a large space, that suppors a variety of workouts from cardiovascular to heavy weightlifting. This drives the rating, but I removed a star for the following reason: I found the gym etiquette by far the worst part of the experience and if I visited as my regular gym, I'd likely leave for this reason (so if i were a regular I'd give it 3 stars). Weights were left lying around, dumbells are often unpaired and scattered across different racks, making finding a pain that can disrupt workout flow. There were also people who hogged several resistance machines for a personal workout and were unwilling to share even when transitioning between leaving their towl on one. Speaking of towels, I did not see many in use one to clean sweat off afterwards. While this is the customer and not the operator, I think some education as first time induction 5 minutes overview, and some helpful signage to emphasise the gym culture / etiquette would go a long way. As would having staff take a walk around from time to time and encourage patrons to adhere. All would benefit and it would feel more like a community, see my last side point below. I find the entry system convenient for 24 hour access, but it does feel a little impersonal. The staff are helpful if approached but do not seem to be fully engaged with the customer and generating a personality for the gym leaving it a bit sterile. Thanks for reading. I hope it was useful.

Parking is slightly limited, especially during horseracing events, but the gym is well maintained and great value for money

It was just about ok up until the recent refurb, since then it has lost some CV equipment. Went last night and it was very busy, no running machines or bikes free and even though it has just had a refurb the machines have not been replaced and there were at least 4 treadmills out of order. The entry system means it takes a ridiculous amount of time to get in and out especially when it's busy. Time to move on I think.

As far as gyms go, it's ok. Not a lot of weight lifting equipment. Very big/expansive on the cardio equipment. The gym is clean enough. Beware of going in the lead up to winter as there is one massive AC in the weights area that will chill you to your bones. Otherwise from that, can't beat a 24hr gym.
