The service and atmosphere was really nice but the good was vile! i just had to scoff at someones description below that the pizza's are among the best in london! My Pizza, a Ham and pineapple, very hard to go wrong would of been nice, but very few toppings, and the ham was supermarket sliced ham!! My starter which was breaded mushrooms, the mushrooms were raw. My friends pizza was the same very little toppings. However my two other friends had pasta dishes are were very nice. My advice, if you are very keen to go here don't know why please go with the Pastas and not the pizzas! or anything with mushrooms!
It is a real shame, as we used to quite enjoy this restaurant. However it has really gone downhill, as, at our last visit, the service was extremely slow and the waitress was obviously completely overwhelmed. She told us that they had lost a lot of staff in the recent past and that she had worked for three weeks without a day off. We ended up waiting for your pizzas for about 40 minutes. In addition, I had to ask for the bill twice, and when I asked for it the second time, the manager accused me of being rude. It seems quite clear that he must be treating his staff even much worse than his customers and that he therefore exploiting the few employees he has left. No wonder service quality is suffering. Make sure you avoid this place where quality and service are obviously going downhill and where staff clearly get exploited. Probably a restaurant even worth a boycott....
Don't let the small front and traditional decor put you off- this place makes one of the best pizzas in town. The staff are lovely and service is fast, the pizza dough is beautiful and tasty and toppings are high quality and fresh. There are some great wines in a small-ish list and it is very reasonably priced. Also, it's less often overrun with people so you are much more likely to find a seat!
I've eaten here twice now before going to the theatre. It's only a small restaurant and the service was quick which is good. The pasta was good and decent portion sizes and you can watch them making the pizzas on the counter. Prices were reasonable at around £8 for a pasta dish. Friendly staff.
Felt like i was eating tesco value bolognese, not worth 14 quid
Really nice food,stuff and atmosphare.
