Made a last minute reservation as we wanted a Sunday roast at 7pm. Freya was very polite and accommodating. 10 past 7 we had ordered the lamb shank and 3 meat chicken, beef and pork roast. It came quickly and we were a bit dubious at first. But we were WRONG! Food was hot, fresh, and delicious! Meat was so moist, tender and tasty! The potato's were hot and crispy yet fluffy on the inside. Jon was excellent and recommended the dessert, he was not wrong. Large portions and scrumptious. Would definitely recommend and will return. Thanks to all the team at The Princess Charlotte, especially Freya and Jon!
Second time eating here, it’s always busy so we have booked a table both times.nnIt’s a lovely pub with really nice staff. The food came quickly and I appreciated that the menu had a ‘lite’ section for lunchtime.nnIt can be quite loud inside but service is good and the prices aren’t bad. We will definitely be back.
We had a great meal with great service. Kris was an incredible server, very attentive and helpful!nnIts obvious he cares very much about your whole experience and goes above and beyond to make sure you’re well looked after.
We recently visited The Princess Charlotte for dinner while catching up with friends and family, and what truly made the evening stand out was the incredible service we received from our waiter, Kris.nnFrom the moment we sat down, Kris was a total star. He was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive—something that’s become surprisingly rare these days. He seemed to anticipate our needs before we even had to ask, always one step ahead and making everything feel smooth and effortless.nnWhat impressed us most was his natural ability to balance professionalism with friendliness. He made sure we were comfortable, checked in at just the right moments, and managed everything with such calm and grace. Drinks arrived quickly, our food came out perfectly timed, and he made sure nothing was ever missed or delayed. We felt completely looked after throughout the entire evening.nnIt’s rare to come across someone who clearly takes pride in what they do and genuinely cares about the guests’ experience. Kris turned what would’ve been a lovely dinner into something truly memorable. I even felt compelled to compliment him directly on the night—he absolutely deserves recognition.nnThe food and drinks were great—fresh, tasty, and well-presented—and the menu had a fantastic range of options. But honestly, it was Kris who made the night special. Because of him, we’ll definitely be returning—and recommending The Princess Charlotte to others.
Review of Princess CharlottennRecently, I dined at Princess Charlotte with a family group of ten, and the experience exceeded my expectations.nn- Service —The waitress was exceptionally friendly and professional. She catered to our needs without any hassle, making the dining experience enjoyable from the start.nn- Food— I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, which was well above average. I ordered the American-style burger, and it quickly became one of my top three burgers ever—I've tried quite a few! Everyone else in the group also enjoyed their meals, and they were served in a timely manner.nn- Drinks and Desserts Drinks were served quickly, which was much appreciated. Although they had run out of Eton Mess my first choice for dessert, what I ended up having was still really nicennI would highly recommend Princess Charlotte for its excellent service and delicious food!
