Great pub to visit has an great selection of beers always a quality pint good prices on beers, 
has the out of town local feel with the benefit of it being in the town

We stopped in here for a bite to eat and a drink.  The staff were really accomodating and freindly.  The food was proper home cooked fare, not flashy just good grub.  Another upside is it was reasonably priced.  I had a couple of pints and they were both good quality.  Worth the walk out of the town centre when shopping in Colchester.

Food is of good quality, there are times when they ran out of beer, staff are usually friendly
