Primrose Valley Holiday Park
"Primrose Valley Holiday Park in Filey, Yorkshire, is close to three brilliant seaside towns: Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough. Boasting two indoor pools, an outdoor pool and several slides for all to have a go on, you really are spoilt for choice here. A lake hosts fishing and water sports, on land there’s activities like Archery and Aerial Adventure and bungee trampolines new for 2023, and there’s enticing entertainment throughout the day and evening. Eight food and drink venues mean there’s a theme for every day of the week at Primrose Valley, with tastebuds sure to be satisfied. We’re even adding a Costa Tuk-Tuk for spring 2023 subject to final plans."

Booked for 4 nights last week and overall really enjoyed our stay. Checking in is only from 4pm but you can arrive early, from around 2pm, which we did and had a look round to see where everything is. It is a large site but not hard to walk around even my 6 year old who notoriously hates walking! managed to walk everywhere. Caravan was a bronze and fairly basic, but comfortable and clean. Things like the basics for washing up would have been great, or more than one toilet roll, but did have other things to help clean up and handy heating controls next to the bed if it got cold in the night. We were in a good, quieter area which we appreciated with the dog. Tried out both restaurants which were quite pricey £6 for a pint of shandy! but good food and nice to see vegan options that wasn’t just a falafel burger! One thing I would like to see improved is the booking system for swimming, etc. We booked fairly last minute, just a week before going, and we were sad to see after booking that hardly any swimming appointments were left. It would be nice to see these more evenly distributed rather than families booking every day and others missing out. Great facilities on site, daughter enjoyed the entertainment and obviously the arcades and rides. Great location to the beach too! Overall we really enjoyed it and would visit again.
Just got back from here, first time going and we will be back! Absolutely loved it... it was sunny and hot everyday we really fell good with the weather. Plenty for the kids to do, half of it we didn't get a chance to do. We have a girl of 6 and a boy 4 and they were always entertained, always something for them to do. The staff are friendly and helpful, always smiling. We stayed for 4 days, it is a little on the pricey side for certain things but it's all part of the experience really so we didn't mind to much. Honestly I would highly recommend this place. We love caravan holidays but this has just topped the lot!
Really enjoyed the park was very different to what I was expecting. It was October so was busy but not mental the site is very very big and spacious with lots of open spaces , the caravan was spotless and brand new with decking area the beach is close and a bus stop to Scarborough in the park . Filey is 10 minutes walk on the beach . We didn't use the entertainment or food so can't comment. Overall I we would return out of season .
After reading some of the reviews on trip advisor and nearly changing the holiday I’m so glad I didn’t! We had a fantastic stay, the caravan was absolutely spotless, we couldn’t fault it, we stayed in Razor Bill and it did not disappoint. The facilities were excellent, our little one who is 3 absolutely loved the swimming, the fair, the parks, the entertainment etc. the staff were very welcoming and approachable. The food choices were great, especially slims chicken that was a great hit and good value for money. I’m really glad I didn’t change park as we all had a brilliant stay and would definitely return! Thanks again for another amazing stay!
Lovely few days. First visit to a Haven caravan park and very pleasantly surprised. Caravan was big, clean, warm and had everything we needed. The locaiis amazing, right on the seafront. Beautiful. Will definitely return and also use other haven caravan parks again
Really beautiful caravan and weather which made the holiday a success . Was great to go and visit other places. My concern really was the price of the haven passes for 6 adults and 1 child , it is extortionate ! . No swimming was available, the entertainment for 12 year old plus and later on for the adults was absolutely shocking. It probably was the worst Iv experienced at any caravan site and I’m usually easily pleased ! So we all stayed in the caravan mostly in the evenings.
We had an amazing holiday in haven caravan holidays from haven was amazing, The holiday home was great. It was really clean and in an excellent location. The area where we where situated was about a 10min walk to the Seaside and in a really quiet area, haven caravan holidays There was a lovely covered seating area in the Front of house which we used for every meal, Perfectly fitting house and excellent service. Highly recommend Happy Holiday Homes
10 Razorbill, not cleaned upon arrival, dust, cobwebs silver!, black bugs everywhere, fell ill with stomach bug ?tap water. The location is brilliant - access to a beautiful beach, however the park is very large and requires a lot of walking, evening entertainment is good but extremely busy, swimming pool is great fun but again all very busy due to how big it is. Good for older children.
It's a nice enough location, reasonable facilities. The in site shop Co-Op is massively over priced so remember to bring essential items with you such as washing up liquid, toilet paper, cooking oil and especially alcohol. The caravans are packed very tight so unless you can afford a premium position don't expect any kind of view other than more caravans and dubious looking neighbours. If it's wet parking is a nightmare, mud and wheels spinning traipsing dirt in and out the van as few have a hard standing. There are some parking spaces scattered about but it can be a trek with luggage and pushchairs etc. The caravans are well presented internally but are quickly showing signs of regular use, the seating could have done with a proper deep clean in particular. Overall considering the time if year end of season and for the price point it was good, but not great.
This was a cheap off season trip. Caravan was really good value for money and well located. The beach is amazing and you can walk to Filey across it. Could be a bit noisy at night on the site so felt 4* about right.
