First time buying a car remotely; was a little anxious. However, Prestigio Cars were fantastic throughout the process. From agreement to buy, the walkaround video they sent through of the car, to final delivery, the whole thing went smoothly. Was given a time when the car would be delivered and they were within 20 mins of ETA, coming from Bedford to the south coast. Friendly delivery guy and not expensive. We took out 12 months warranty and hopefully will not have to use it, but they relaxed us over what we would do if an issue did arise with the car being far from them. The car looks in great condition for its age! Low genuine mileage; the Toyota engine should easily outlast all 3 children learning to drive! Thanks Prestigio. Highly recommended.
Since writing this post I have been advised by the AA mediator of the Prestigio Cars team will only refund me for the car they delivered yesterday if I remove this review. So just to give people an idea of what is going on behind the scenes.nnThese guys were very pushy with trying to get me to leave a review during the delivery of my car before we'd even finalized everything, and I can see why now, based on other reviews... 30 mins following delievery, the drivers side control panel has fallen out, I discover the sunroof is essentially just rust photos are what was collecting around the panel, the panel itself is just as crusty, I cant access the external spare wheel housing because its got a rusty padlock on and no key given, wheel locks are missing, so basically, I have to hope the tyres don't have any issues. Told me it was serviced, I then asked when it was delivered if it was a full service and they said yes - they did an oil filter and oil change, that's it, which I found on the paperwork and had to ask them wherever it was a full service for the THIRD time to get actual confirmation, twice prior to sale also. When I text photos of the damage less than an hour after delivery was completed they didn't raise any alarm about it or seem interested, never followed it up. The delivery driver drove my car round that I was part exchanging above the speed limit in a 20mph zone, with a school, hospital and gp surgery nearby, I kept asking him to stop taking corners so heavily and quickly due to other cars on road, kids in area, elderly people walking in the road and he just kept ignoring me. They then tried to knock me down another 200 on my car after agreeing on a part exchange value and me paying 50% of total cost upfront, knowing id cancelled a sale with a private buyer for part exchange for the amount theyd agreed to match. They were aware I had mobility issues due to a surgical injury and I had text them in morning to say I wasnt well enough to test drive the car properly - but they didn't have own insurance sorted for test drive of my old car so had to be in the car, using an adaptive cushion to limit pain, been in agony all evening and took the rest of day off work and had to contact my GP for more medication. So yeah, I've been sold a total lemon for a jacked up price and warranty agreement I have yet to actually get any information about to know what it even includes not for lack of trying and they drove my car around for a test drive like a reckless poor racer in the process and would have got me pulled over and now with a pain flare up. Requested a return of the vehicle and refund including what they took for my car. Seriously, this just isn't even acceptable or appropriate.
Bought a car here the other day and it was a straightforward and fairly stress-free experience, for which I was grateful as I'd travelled a considerable distance by train. I paid a non-returnable £99 deposit to reserve the car on account of the time and distance involved - the fee specified on the company website - although I was informed that this fee has now risen to £200, which is a bit steep in my opinion. After the sale, a misunderstanding on my part arose which was handled with tolerance and care. Overall the transaction was done in a genuine, businesslike fashion and, thanks to the extensive pre-sale information provided about the company and its vehicles, I felt confident about my purchase.
