This review is a genuine review of our own personal experience on a recent visit to Bedford accident and emergency hospital. We arrived about 11:30pm to a fairly packed waiting room on both sides, we were seen fairly quickly by the triage gentleman Martin who was thorough efficient and fast tracked our case due to the severity of my partners complaint. The team were great who we saw next, blood test were taken very very quickly and we were kept informed all the way the staff are under an extreme amount of pressure and how they cope. god only knows but they do professionally and with a smile on their faces and courtesy throughout The last guy we saw in a A&E was Dr Tochi a very thorough professional gentleman his advice and guidance were 2nd to none as was his diagnosis. We were then directed to the surgical team and were promptly seen by another very kind gentleman called Omar where we were given very good advice and guidance. My partner has been admitted and now awaits an ultrasound a very positive experience, we all know how long sometimes we wait the other side of that door to be seen but if people recognise and noticed the pressure the staff are on the other side of the door are under then I’m sure everyone will appreciate what’s being done for them.
The care I received from the A&E team at Bedford Hospital today was second to none. The pressure this team is under is clear for all to see but everyone went out of their way to check up on you, gave their time to listen and worked methodically to treat - what more could you ask for - thank you.
I recently visited Bedford Hospital South Wing with a dislocated elbow and fractured wrist, and I was in significant pain. From the moment I arrived at A&E, the care I received was exceptional. The nurses, doctors, and nurse students were all incredibly professional, compassionate, and attentive. They worked together to ease my pain and stress, ensuring I felt well cared for throughout the entire experience. I’m deeply thankful to everyone involved for their kindness and outstanding support. I couldn’t have asked for better care.
I went to A&E on Tuesday afternoon 25th June 2024 with symptoms of high blood pressure. There was a queue but I didn't have to wait long before I was checked in by reception and told to wait. I think it was only ten mins and I was then having a ECG being carried out on me and then a blood test . I was then checked by the doctor and had to wait for blood tests results before seeing the doctor again before being discharged. I would like thank all the staff in A&E for being kind and showing me respect throughout my time there especially dealing with alot of patients at the same time. Thank you Bedford A&E.
Came in at half 9pm. Receptionists are extremely rude from the moment you walk in. Unnecessary attitude and unhelpful. Leaders need to organise nurses and receptionists who are actually happy to do the bare minimum of their jobs.
