Fab location for the Empire Theatre. Air con worked well. Cheap price, clean spacious rooms and friendly staff. Car park is a bit steep at £17 for 24 hrs but its a prime spot. Breakfast was great, good choice of cooked and continental for £11. Shower gel and soap in bathrooms and free wifi. Oh and we had a lovely soft sofa
Went to the theatre so booked premier inn for the Tuesday night . Had great meal on the night brilliant and very helpful staff. Food was delicious. Got up next morning after an excellent sleep, went for breakfast which was also delicious before checking out. Room was spotless. Only gripe was 17 pounds 50 for car park but hey city centre.
Wonderful location, within a few minutes walk of the Empire theatre, many restaurants, pubs and the city centre. The rooms are very nice with everything you need and plenty of plug sockets. There was a bit of dust in places but personally I don't mind that.nThe on site restaurant is nice with a good choice of food and a very nice breakfast at a reasonable price.
I haven't stayed in a Premier Inn for a few years as last time the brand was dated and the rooms weren't very nice. Well Lenny Henry would be proud, i was greeted at the entrance with either an electronic booking in or a person to help. I was shown where the Restaurant was and explained about meal times as I'd prefer booked an evening and breakfast meal deal. Handed my room card and made my way to the room, standard key card opens the door and put into a slot to use the lighting. Room was very spacious and very well presented, room had a nice view and there was a Tv and brew station. The Bathroom was nice but would have preferred a Shower rather than a bath, very modern and very clean. Plenty of Hangars, Menu and Drinks price list on the table. One thing I was disappointed in was that there's NO safe in the room.nEvening meal was VERY good, couls select a starter and Main or Main and Dessert, included one drink although water was free. Bed was comfy if a bit hard, pillows were good, room was well ventilated and VERY soundproofed windows. Will use Premier Inn again
Really good stay at Sunderland, a great view from our window, lovely bath and good sleep! I must thank the wonderful staff who found and returned my forgotten Fitbit...thankyou so much to the cleaning lady who rescued it from my towels...very grateful indeed!! We had a lovely visit, and Sunderland was sunny and welcoming!! Premier inn seem to always provide a great base for a trip!!
