The quality of the breakfast was excellent, and it was clear that she takes great pride in her work.nnIt is a pleasure to begin the day with smiling staff and delicious food. Lovely refurb. Rooms great. Added on demand help yourself coffee machine downstairs in eating area an absolute bonus.nBed comfort though? Their new matresses can only say they will be great if you need an exceptionally hard mattress with no give, but in all honesty it was like sleeping on a mattress made of solid wood, a complete 360 from their previous hypno mattresses.nLift also was out of order from mid evening until the following morning, and no staff available on check out.nSo great as the place is, but would I stay at any Premier Inn again in the UK?nNever thought Id ever say this, but after all these years they've lost me as a customer.
One of the better Premier Inns I have stayed at, this maybe a newer one but the rooms are more modern.nGreeted with purple lights in the bathroom, a walkin shower instead of a shower in the bath and plenty of USB sockets and also the large TV is directly infront of the bed and not off to the side which is syrange why they do this.nGreat location, quiet rooms had a fan in mine which was a nice touch although I didn't use it.nnRoom had TV, tea and coffee making tray, full ensuite with towels and soap dispensors.nnA warm and friendly welcome from the staff, nothing was any trouble. The room was great, plenty of space, very clean, towels in the bathroom with plenty of soap and shampoo.nA hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities.nnThe bed was comfy and extra pillows above the hangers.
Absolutely pleased with my two and a half day stay.!!. Nothing was too much to ask of ALL staff. Both day and night staff were courteous, willing to address my needs,all executed with eagerness and a smile!!. The location was suburban.But of my choice. I will most certainly return here,in the near future. Thanks to all of the staff at Port Of Tyne.
Hotel looking a bit dated , especially with closed abandoned Brewers Fayre next door apparently land not owned by Whitbred ,nStaff , warm , friendly and attentive . Can't do enough to help you!nHotel on main road into town , but easy to access roads out to visit area .nBreakfasts only , small room but we'll catered for, breakfast staff helpful and friendly , a pleasure to eat in there .
