It's a Premier Inn, so the design is pretty standardised. I don't mind a Premier Inn honestly. But this one... what's going on with the toilet?! I'm a stocky 6ft man and the damn toilet roll holder is so close to the toilet that it's practically over the top of it!!!! It's difficult to take a dump at an angle Premier Inn!!! Very difficult! I don't know what kind of tiny people are sleeping here but I doubt somebody that's half my size was be able to have a comfortable poo here. The toilet is also practically inches from the wall. It's such a stupid design flaw.nnCome on Premier Inn. How about using a little brain power?nnOtherwise decent enough, comfortable bed, clean room, free parking, blah blah blah.
Great hotel , a little dated but overall good value . Worth noting no lift and the room we had , the shower was over the bath .nWas a quiet location with a pub next door .nStaff very friendly and helpful .
Super impressed with how accommodating and thoughtful this hotel are. We had a booking for 14th December for 2 adults and 4 children. I rang them on 13th December to see if they had any adjoining rooms available, as I left my partner to book a month prior but he booked 2 seperate rooms instead of calling the hotel to check if they had adjoining rooms typical bloke. I only noticed this the evening before when I checked the bookings and when I rang on the evening before our stay to see if they had any adjoining rooms available they were all booked up but the lady on reception was super lovely and said she would put our rooms as close as possible. After a long, stressful, busy day arriving at 8.30pm it was lovely news that Megan had remembered my call after the family room adjoining into my partners had cancelled so they swapped us to that last minute. We planned on staying in an air bnb next year for our annual family panto trip but we will definitely be staying here again after Megan managed to accomodate this for us, and the reception staff were so friendly!
Please be aware if you have a work vehicle, my van had locks damaged last night and reading other posts this is a regular thing.nThis happens at lots of Premier Inns and Travel Lodges I'm growing increasingly suspicious of staff members as no-one ever sees anything despite lots spending hours outside smoking or on phones.
Good hotel, nice rooms as per usual for premier inn and the attached restaurant is good. Plenty of parking and options for food outside of the beefeater if you wanted something different. You are not too far from Derby centre and there is a bowling alley right across the road if you wanted something to do.
