The room was spotless as was the en suite. The bed was a king size and extremely comfortable. The staff were very helpful. We booked and pre-paid for breakfast and there was an excellent selection and very well cooked. I would definitely recommend this hotel.Rooms: 5/5
Lovely warm welcome from Marta on the front desk very courteous professional and friendly. Rooms clean tidy and bathroom facilities superb bed Lovely and comfortable. Restaurant staff were amazing very welcoming always checking we were ok and If we required any drinks etc they worked really hard through the evening. The food was amazing the chef was fantastic it was cooked to perfection and it was delivered to the table quickly. Just one recommendation the front of the building is opposite a distribution centre and the staff at shift changes congregate at the front gate to meet there lifts who have been sitting there for 10 mins plus with there engines running. Or they drop of staff then beep there horns as they pull off to say goodbye. The lorries started pulling up and were queuing up the road with there fridge units going full blast. They can turn them on to town mode which makes them less noisy but they obviously can't see the hotel signs opposite. I drove fridge wagons and was very respectful of my environment. Maybe the manager can request a meeting with the factory to sort these issues out and keep this great hotel getting great reviews
Room too hot snd that was either no heating and window and fan on so we couldn't sleep either of the 2 nights we were there. Other family members right next door and their room 10 degrees cooler. Still waiting on premier in getting back to us as they have that night sleep guarantee. Rooms very clean, lovely hotel snd despite the room would certainly return. Rooms: Very clean. Food & drinks: Boy behind the bar looked as though he needed a hood scrub. He was very laxidaisicle. Staff very busy and short handed. We had a lot of folks there. Noteworthy details: Check in early for parking remember some of the parking is gor locals using the restaurant. We were there neither on vacation or business. There for funeral.
Staff are very welcoming and so kind We were getting married at the register office in Barnsley when we arrived back at the hotel there was a bottle of Prosecco, chocolates and a card in our room how very thoughtful the hotel is very well run great locationRooms: 5/5

Rooms were nice and clean, very friendly staff. The only issue is that humidity in Rooms is extremely high and odor is unpleasant because of thatRooms: 3/5
Very Disappointed. We travel a fair bit and have used Premier Inn quite a lot. I can safely say this is the worst Premier I have stayed at. The biggest issue for us was the staff the evening of our arrival. Not a smile in the place, receptionist didn't even say hello, restaurant staff more or less threw our dinner at us and any questions were answered with curt one or two word answers. There was much huffing and puffing. To be really clear though....the staff the following morning were lovely, a complete contrast. In the restaurant, the waiting staff wouldn't or couldn't answer questions about the meal deal and pointed us to the bar staff, who also didn't know the answers and said 'your waiter should have told you this', as if it was our fault they hadn't. The food was OK but there were several items unavailable including the deserts we wanted, sadly. Finally the room we were given smelled of drains. We had no issues being moved other than more huffing and puffing from the receptionist who clearly didn't want to be there. The room we moved to had failed air con ... set to 16 degrees but acutal temp in the room never got below 28. Really not a pleasant stay. Won't go back.
Using this hotel at the moment for business. rooms are basic but clean all the time. Beds are comfy and everything in the room is neat and stocked, staff are most helpful and good service is given to my guests and staff that's have been staying.Rooms: 4/5
Nice hotel, nice staff, clean, neat, good food. No AC, so if outside is hot, in the hotel will be the same. Humidity quite high, so we had to keep window open. I would suggest some nets on the windows we kept it open, so air would come in, but little spiders and bugs popped a visit. Wi-fi not too good. We stayed for 5 nights, overall everything was ok!
Staff lovely room soooo clean tidy large everything in right place bathroom spotless one of the better premier inn we have stayed at will return next year when visiting Elsecar Heritage Centre ..thank youRooms: 5/5
