Great location for a top hotel chain. The only drawback for me personally, shower over bath. I don't require a fully disabled room, but an easy access shower would be appreciated. The tub was high sided and extremely narrow on the bottom, no handrails for safety. Otherwise, it was a great room; big comfy bed, sea view, easy access to the town. A great night's sleep!
A very clean hotel . Rooms lovely. Staff very courteous kind helpful. Breakfasts were lovely .thank you all at premier Inn for a lovely stay Will definitely be back Keep the good work up Many thanks Keith.mel.josh
We booked two rooms for a Saturday night quite recently. We parked for free in the ample car park at the back of the establishment. Check in was quick, efficient and managed by a polite and friendly lady. Both rooms, on the 1st floor, were identical. They included large, high double beds, a sofa/bed thing, a flat screen TV, free WiFi, kettle with free tea and coffee, and enough plugs to support those of us who travel nowadays with so much electronic equipment. The separate bathroom had a shower in the bathtub. The soft white, fluffy towels were great. The rooms were airy, modern and clean. All very nice. By the way, neither room had been equipped for double occupancy. Only a single set towels had been priovided. We decided to stay at the hotel for evening dinner as the weather was so bad outside. Although many of the items on the menu were not available, we found more than enough to make a nice meal of it. We appreciated the patience of one of the staff members who made us aware of the special deal of breakfast, 2-course meal and a drink for 24,99 pounds per person. Excellent value. However things went pear shaped in a big way when it came to pay for our meal. One of us tried to pay with a card but the tilling system was awful. Even though the payment was confirmed by the bank online, the hotel system failed to confirm payment. We couldn't leave until we offered another second method of payment. Which we did so that we could get to bed. Having paid twice we ere reassured that the second payment would be cancelled "when the manager came in the next day". Anyway, the next day, the manager didn't turn up and none of the other 5 staff members knew how to refund our double payment. I got fed up. And, as I write this I still haven't received the refund for the double payment - one week later. Sorry, but in this day and age we do expect a more efficient and trouble free payment system. I'll be thinking twice about ever coming back to this chain of hotels which is a real shame. But there enough other choices...
The staff were excellent, breakfast great, location ideal, but we found beds too hard and air con going on and heating off at night, we didn’t sleep much. The noise of people walking about upstairs was annoying. Finally why are the disabled car parking space the farthest away from the entrance!
Central, several walking minutes to the beach. Staff friendly & helpful. Needed a twin room and not double, on early arrival we mentioned this and by the time we could checkin to our room we had 2 beds. Parking, free with registration. Breakfast was an additional charge, continental or hot. The only negative feedback, is that the hotel is not telephonically reachable, always connecting to an electronic message. Otherwise, I would definitely stay again. Walkability: The Beach and Broadwalk only 7 minutes walking distance from the Hotel.
Close to the sea front and walking distance to the small town centre this is an ideal spot to rest up and enjoy a first class breakfast before exploring the wonders of SuffolkRooms: 4/5
Room is great, location is handy for my work, but the restaurant was a little lacking - good was good, but no bar area to relax inRooms: 5/5
Great value for money for a flying visit! Stayed here for the night whilst visiting a friend who has just recently moved to Felixstowe. Hotel is in a great location, staff were very helpful, room was very clean and last but not least the bed was very comfortable and even had a purple neon nightlight that I thought was very impressive see photo. If ever you are in Felixstowe and need somewhere to stay then look no where else as I think that this is the best option.
Its a nice clean place, rooms are basic but good. Its ok if you plan days out. Bit over priced, lacking in many departments. My last two stays it was quiet, soft closing doors makes a difference. At least for the room I stayed in, fixed temperature of 19. Location is great for visiting Felixstowe, walking distance to most things. Taxi from the hotel was impressive, cheap prices compared to my home area. Three star hotel as advertised. If you could call it a bar, shuts really early. Seems very understaffed. Friendly though.
Never ever had a problem with any premier inn we’ve visited and this one was no different. Super comfortable beds and pillows and really quiet. Good location just moments from the seafront and pier, 10 Minute walk to the town centre, staff wise they were all very helpful, as usual. Price was excellent too.
