Story

Welcome to Prego...we are a new Italian style restaurant located in East Cowes town centre close to transport links to Southampton and the rest of the Island.
Relax with family and friends in our warm, welcoming, contemporary surroundings looked after by our vibrant and friendly team. Pop in for some great Barista coffee or enjoy a glass of vino from our hand selected list of popular, drinkable wines.
We offer a selection of Pizza, Pasta, Paninis and Salads all made with authentic Italian ingredients and fresh IoW produce. Or if you'd prefer the take-out option then we can do that too.

A small nicely decorated restaurant with a good atmosphere. They managed to squeeze us in before our ferry trip back to Southampton. Stuffed dough balls were a first for us and very tasty. Pizzas and Calzone were spot on. All in all, a great experience and good value. Next time we're on the island we'll definitely make a reservation for a return visit.
Simply excellent one of the best meals I have had on the island, wild mushroom risotto was cooked perfectly and the seafood spaghetti was excellent. Garlic bread to die for... enough to share between two! We will return for sure, I think the empty plates says it all! Parking: On street parking near restaurant
Wow! I grabbed some nduja and mozzarella dough balls and the seafood spaghetti as I was waiting for the ferry back to Southampton as I'd driven past the restaurant and it was busy. Not only was the waitress super friendly, letting me order and asking the chef's to prepare quickly, the food was INCREDIBLE. I'd eaten a lot of good food on the island and this was actually one of the best! The dough balls were home made, delicious and hot and the pasta is difficult to find words for. I literally can't wait to get back to the island just to visit here again!
This is a small restaurant, so even if booking in advance is not required I would reccomend to do so, or the risk that there will be no seats left is very high. As an Italian, I would say the food quality is good but not excellent. They have got our food ready quite fast after we ordered, so that's a plus. They offer pizza, pasta, salads, fresh drinks and desserts too. It is worth to give it a try.
Never written a review so soon after a meal. What can we say 5 stars is not enough. AMAZING! Second visit this week and if I were here for a few more nights I’d go back again. Waited all year to visit and it did not disappoint. Food fantastic. Service excellent atmosphere spot on. Made to feel right a home.
Loved this little Italian restaurant, visited by chance having read the reviews prior to getting the ferry. Luckily there was a spare table! Lovely atmosphere, very friendly & good food. The pistachio tirramisu was particularly good. Look forward to our next visit.Food: 5/5
Only one word to describe this place, amazing!! The food was amazing and so tasty! The service was very very good and then the atmosphere was very pleasant! The place had some of the best italian food i have had in ages and i would definitely be going there again on my next visit to the Isle of Wight!!! Definitely recommend!!!Food: 5/5
Walked in to drink a coffee and ended up staying for dinner. Had a risotto with smoked haddock and king prawns and it was delicious. The other options on the menu also seemed lovely. The staff is very friendly and helpful, would definitely visit again! Vegetarian options: The menu has vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options.
Fantastic, Small, inviting restaurant. Clearly a lot of care has been put in across the board, upcycled and reused furnishings throughout. Simple menu, reasonably priced, left us satisfied and still feeling very good after a filling meal, Was recommended to us by an islander but only were able to go on our most recent visit, we'll worth the wait
Had an anniversary meal here on 4th Nov. The place is nicely decorated with lovely staff and the service/food was faultless. Many thanks, hopefully return on our next visit to the Island in 2023Food: 5/5
