Our favourite shop in Sidmouth - I’ve recently bought some cushions on sale and some beautiful artificial dried flowers bunch of spring flowers. It’s such a lovely shop with quality furniture and accessories - also many quirky ornaments.
Helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff offering a wide range of good quality furniture and furnishings.
We had a bed delivered today which was adequately put in place but we were left to find paperwork and headboard fasteners scattered about when these should have been properly handed over. Not comparable to John Lewis.

Great selection of high quality furniture, lighting, bedding, rugs, carpets at competitive prices. Old fashioned service from professional staff.
We have visited Potburys twice most recently at the beginning of February 2024, on both occasions have been ignored by the" assistants". As a result we've never bought from them. On our most recent visit there were three members of staff behind a desk, but non of them showed the slightest interest in attending to us We shall be buying a new bed from somewhere else. I have given 1 as that is the lowest score. Quite frankly they don't even deserve that much.

Had a carpet laid on stairs, landing and bedroom. Martyn and his team were fabulous - courteous, professional and a no nonsense approach. Highly delighted and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend
From the in store customer service to the delivery, they are just so perfect! Punctual in returning calls and resolving any requests/issues. Kept their promises to delivery in a feasible time range. And the two delivery men who drove all the way up from Devon to the north are simply wonderful! Very helpful and very professional, also very good quality. special thanks to Paddy Lee who dealt with our order.
We saw a beautiful rug in the window but were on holiday in Sidmouth. Joseph was so helpful, phoning the supplier for us. A few emails later and the rug now adorns our lounge. Joseph was very accommodating, this is customer service at its best, it's a shame this gem of a store is a 4 hour drive!
