Mailed media package from Portsmouth, RI post office on Thurs., Feb. 16 PM. Clerk was very polite, knowledgeable, and helpful.
Awful awful service! They absolutely refuse to deliver orders to our business stating they cant pull in to our property legally!? Wait, what?? Then the excuse was they couldnt turn around its literally a looped lot, nice try. We have to call and fight with them to get every order delivered that is sent through USPS which Amazon doesnt even give the option to select a different carrier. Just terribl all around.
I was there on Jan 22. I had a very important letter to mail. I looked up the website, which said that they were open until 5:30 pm. I arrived before 5:00. I was filling out an envelope that I needed to pay them for, when the girl asked me if there was anything she could start ringing up, as they were closing. I told her that the website said they were open until 530, and if I’d known they were closing at 5:00 I wouldn’t have come in. Since I’d already started filling everything out, I now had to pay for it. I finished as quickly as I could, which was only another minute, but the girl was hostile and rude. It was completely unnecessary. I got there in time. This is only the second time I’ve ever been to this post office and the younger man, who was there again today, was very unpleasant then too. She was so rude that I called her on it. If my letter doesn’t arrive I’ll know who is responsible. From reading other reviews it is obvious that this is the norm for this office. Whoever is in charge of these two needs to train them on appropriate customer service. They both have unpleasant and arrogant attitudes.
I have never had such trouble with the USPS until I moved to Portsmouth. Packages are never delivered within the time frame they give you online and then they just extend the time frame once it hasn’t been delivered during the initial time frame. And sometimes when they do “attempt to deliver” they just note that it was “inaccessible.” Going into the store is also the same frustration. No one is ever happy to serve you or help you out.
I typically don't take the time to review a place unless they give great service. Unfortunately the USPS in Portsmouth, RI consistently gives the complete opposite. Its sad how they represent such a nice town such as Portsmouth. They are very rude and clearly do not care much about their jobs. After getting such an attitude today I left without even mailing my package. I would gladly rather drive to another post office where they treat you with respect. You would think a business that is in a clear decline would do everything they could to build loyalty. Not this place.
Best postal customer service ever. Steven went above and beyond on two separate occasions to help me locate a package. Hopefully he and his team get a raise especially since they are working so hard during this pandemic to keep the mail system running smoothly. Thanks for your hard work and service to this community.
I'm at this post office at least twice a week and everyone is super friendly. If you have prepaid items they allow you to bring them up so that you don't have to wait in line which is great! I'm normally in and out within 5 minutes even when I have an armful of packages.
I use this post office just about daily. Everyone here is so nice. I can walk in and get everything sent out or I can buy my postage online and just easily drop it off at the counter or into the slot right by the door if it's small enough. Regardless, I always get treated with respect and am in and out of there fast!
The workers are incredibly sweet. Helpful to the max!! I'm injured pretty bad and they take care of me with boxes and all thats hard for me to do. Even will write out my envelope and mail it right there. If your package goes over . Something small they dont go up on the proce on u. I love this ppst office!! I'll get some pictures soon.
Sadly had write about my first and last visit here If you’re not white avoid guy named Steven I hope you know what i mean
