My partner came home in a state of distress at how rude, belittling and borderline threatening various members of staff were about the posting of so called prohibited packages. After looking into it on their own website as well as the website the Royal Mail it turns out that all of the advisors are full of the proverbial bull excrement. Shame on them. Customer service costs nothing but apparently the staff here would rather feel superior to others and act accordingly. Would not recommend you give these swine enough rope.

Staff are friendly enough, HOWEVER they have roughly 11 counters yet the vast majority of times they only ever have two / three people serving customers, with queues growing increasingly large there is staff around however there is no initiative used to open further counters - an extremely frustrating PO which could be so good with the volume of counters they have.......sadly they are not used fully

This postoffice is located inside the WHSmiths on first floor. A bit difficult to get to but they do have lots of counters to manage the rush.
