Post Office

Most people only really leave reviews when they’re upset. However I use this post office frequently and the staff are very helpful and efficient - they’re often trying to work quickly to ensure the queue doesn’t get too long, so don’t take it personally if they seem ‘short’ or ‘blunt’. It is clearly indicated that ‘opening times are subject to change’ due to staffing issues - fair enough! It’s a busy time of year and the staff are dealing with non-stop flows of people, all while working from small box room, I don’t envy them!

The service this post office provides to the people of Witney is a disgrace. Occasionally, a friend or family member of someone who works here leaves a 5-star review trying to excuse the inexcusable.

Checked and confirmed time the post office was open. Turned up in good time just as they were shutting early. No explanation or apology. Why bother publishing times if you don't adhere to them. Useless

Visited today and waited so long but there was no queue! One person on desk, it was painful. I needed help with my passport being sent off the woman was rude and extremely unhelpful, I was an inconvenience. Worse post office i have visited you never get a pleasant service , customer service definitely needs improvement.

Never open at lunch peak time the staff are clearly overworked and have an unhelpful attitude - said they did not know how to check and send a passport after queuing for 20 mins. Just totally unfit for purpose. Very poorly managed by Royal Mail and needs to be improved.

First time I visited this post office, I was really upset how the female staff member treated a customer who had been waiting in the queue for a long time with a child in tow. She had a parcel with her which had come slightly apart and required a small bit of tape to put it back together. The staff member had sent her away as she claimed to not have any tape. The customer was visibly distressed. Fast forward to the next customer who asked for her envelope to be sealed, lo and behold, she miraculously was able to find tape behind her. I thought this was disgusting behaviour and this woman really needs a good speaking to. When it came to my turn, there wasn't any kind of small talk, purely transactional.

Complete waste of time, long queues when they decide to open. I have trouble standing and waiting more than an hour with just a stick and no seats ridiculous. Four windows but only one usually occupied. Other staff walk about but do not serve. Have to struggle to get there to find out if they are open, probably because if they put on web, people wouldn’t believe it. I went the other day and there was a queue and a doorman would not let me join the queue as it would be an hour and would be closed. Even though I’m disabled a complete waste of time, and staff not helpful.

I have been using Witney Post Office for many years, usually to post packages for my place of work. Over the years I have seen Witney Post Office move premises, lose staff and fail to replace them with adequate numbers. Until recently I'd never have considered writing a positive review, but things have begun to change. Two women have come in and really transformed the levels of atmosphere, efficiency and helpfulness in the building. I even saw one of them help a customer who didn't speak English by using Google translate on her phone to communicate. Excellent Improvisation. Geisa, I believe is particularly responsible for this transformation, but her colleague who did the Google translate is also great. Geisa is always so efficient and helpful - willing to go beyond the call of duty to help. I hope this change continues as I had previously almost given up hoping for the return of a good post office in Witney. Long may this resurgence continue.

Been here not long ago and I was served by a lovely lady called Geisa F. She’s a credit for the business. Nothing was too much for her and she have made the whole process hassle free. Parcel got delivered the next day even being sent to Jersey Channel Islands. Absolutely amazed!!!

No published opening hours. Don't trust the stated times on Google, these guys open when they feel like it, and then leave at the busiest times of day without notice. They make you stand outside in the rain whilst one person serves when they are open. This means that the whole two members of WH Smith staff that are there at any one time then spend all their time answering the people asking if the queue is for the post office or the shop. Rather than serving or helping customers. I've taken to driving up to Minster Lovell now, rather than risk another traipse across town to find out they couldn't be bothered to open today. The lady who wears the gaming/anime t-shirts - she seems nice and helpful though. Always polite and efficient - once you manage to get to the counter that is
