Can EVERYONE stop being so DISRESPECTFUL!!? This is the post office which DOES IT JOB the way it's meant to be done, simple. So please respect their time. I've been in Biggleswade my entire life and never once had any issues with this place. The staff Mariam, Qurrat and Charles and lovely and always helpful. I usually have a laugh with them too! My respect goes out to them all :-
AVOID!!!! Wouldn't even give them one star but it's not an option. Lady behind the counter seriously lacks the basic customer service skills required to serve the general public. Rude beyond belief and I was spoken to like I was something she had just scraped off her shoe. Not an acceptable way to be treated. This post office is a minute walk from my house, I'd rather drive somewhere else then use this branch again.
One particular member of staff is just so rude, I think a basic customer service course is required…
Ignorant, rude staff, zero customer service, they do not know what they are doing. REFUSE to provide proof of posting. DEMAND to know contents of parcel It's none of their business!! All they need to know is it complies with policy. Amazing how items you've weighed at home are suddenly more heavy on their scales and therefore cost more, and they will always try to stiff you by shunting parcels into the next price band to up their margins. I'm sure there used to be certain standards that you had to meet & uphold to run a post office - if those still exist this bunch of crooks are miles away from meeting them. Save yourself money, hassle & frustration by going to the stratton way p/o instead.
Just brought in 4 parcels to be delivered, all covered in “Fragile” labels. Told the lady behind the desk they were ceramics and glass items. Watched her then DROP from waist height the first 2 items into the parcel bag before having to stop her doing the same with the third by saying “Please! They’re covered in fragile labels. I’ve just watched you drop two of them. Please put them in carefully.” She gave me such a dirty look and her colleague almost eyerolled before I looked at her. Each breakage costs me so much time and money. Surely respecting the “Fragile” labels is a bare minimum of service?!
I am really not surprised this place is up for sale. Open at silly times and when you do actually manage to get in there the staff are rude and don't want to help. Tried to drop off a load of parcels today to be told I had to take them to a sorting office. Funny how EVERY OTHER post office will take them! I hope whoever buys this place gets totally new staff.
If I could give no stars I would. After queuing for a while they refused to give me proof of postage which was paid online with Royal Mail first class small parcel They said they are not getting paid for that and I am wasting their till paper!! WHAT KIND OF SERVICE IS THIS? So disappointed with this branch. It does not make any sense to me or anyone else at this matter. If we use Royal Mail services they SHOULD provide a proof of postage! Very, Very disappointed!
The staff usually are always grumpy, especially one man. He sighed as we walked in, hardly spoke, then claimed one item was paid incorrectly pretty sure it was correct as i measured and weighted it but still put it in the bag, what was the point in telling me if your not going to do anything about it. The time before that, same man, he for some reason didn't understand that i wanted to drop of some parcels, i had to full on explain myself before he understood, baring in mind, I've done the same thing about 3 times before anyway! Terrible service, unwelcoming even if it gets the job done.
Always have issues at this branch. If not refusing me proof of postage slip ***because apperantly its coming out of their costs. The receipt cost probably 1p with all the ink and paper. They not accepting my larger letters because they can't fit through their slot which much smaller than a regular letter box pegion hole. The staff in their always look miserable with no smiles. They should shut down this branch and replace them all with self service machines. I now resort to travelling to other post offices despite residing within walking distance from them.
Jobsworths and not interested in helping! Won’t give me proof of postage which is scanning the barcode and getting the little receipt because I paid for it online and they said they can’t do it… even though they did it the week before. Acting like it’s such an inconvenience for them to print a proof of postage. Keep in mind, they are a Royal Mail post office my usual post office laughed and said “of course they can print it, they’re run by Royal Mail!
