Our passion is to create delicious meals using locally sourced fresh market ingredients.Our roots are from the Amalfi Coast and therefore, many of our specialties focus on dishes from the sea including favorites such as our Guazzetto ai Frutti di Mare, homemade Ravioli d’Aragosta, and Branzino con Polenta. Solid Italian place in Cardiff, definitely authentic, but they have their own unique dishes, a couple of the pastas are handmade as well. I had high hopes, and I was with a big group. Most of them were very satisfied and loved their food. However, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. Ordered bruschetta which was good but needed much more balsamic, couldn’t taste it. The pasta I ordered was under salted and generally just decent. I was hoping for something better. However, I enjoyed the experience, and would likely come back again and try something new.
This is the fanciest place to have an nice and truly Italian dinner in Cardiff By The Sea, the taste every dollar spend in this place is worth it, Seafood my favorite, pasta with gambini, zuppa di clam with the company of a good Wine of glass, and the dessert positano lime tarta.Food: 5/5
We have been to this marvelous little Italian restaurant several times. Each time, it did not disappoint us. Great food, wonderful service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I had the shrimp salad tonight. Very tasty shrimp, seasoned surprisingly well. I liked the lemon vinaigrette dressing. My love had the Capellini Positano. It was a very flavorful vegetarian pasta dish. We'll be back again.
We had a lovely dinner on the patio. I ordered the halibut special that was cooked to perfection in a wine sauce with tomatoes and porcini mushrooms. My husband ordered the branzino also cooked impeccably with crispy polenta. My dish was slightly too salty but delicious and my husband's had a little too much polenta but it was delicious also. Others at the table ordered the veal scallops from the menu and said it was an excellent preparation. One person ordered salmon from the menu and said it was the best she'd ever had. The tiramisu was delicious as was the apple pastry alla mode and the salads people ordered were all different and delicious from the basic mixed greens to the pear salad and the truffle ceasar. We would all easily come again.
I was sadly disappointed in this place. The atmosphere was nice but the service was lacking. Took almost 10 minutes just for someone to come get our drink order. It seemed like there was one person working. The server was kind, no issues with that, it just took forever to get anything. Part of our order was missed, but we were still charged for it. I was really hoping that the food would be really good but I felt it was pretty average. The bread was rock hard and the homemade pasta was dry. Based on the reviews, I'm assuming it was just an off night. I know things are hard now, so I will just chalk it up to a missed opportunity.
If you’re looking for delicious Italian food in an intimate setting by the beach, this is THE spot. I love that it’s family run and feels like you’re in Italy here. Try the homemade ravioli, the salad with goat cheese, and the spare rib or fish entree. Delicious! My anniversary dinner was great. We had 5 items. All of the specials were great. The wine selection was second to none. We has a Super Tuscan...it went great with everything. We has Lobster Ravioli, Seafood Rosato, and Seafood Soup with goat cheese. You will love the complimentary bread with a tomato spread. Make sure to get the Tiramisu...or take it home for light late night snack. You will not be disappointed.
An amazing small Italian place. The food is made fresh and the taste and variety is wonderful. For sure worth a visit time and time again. We love it.
This was the perfect ending to the perfect day! What a quaint little hideaway! Food was very good and service was excellent. The ambiance and decor take you right to the heart of Positano Italy. It is rather stuffy and humid during summer months - get a seat close to the door for a light ocean breeze. We ordered the Alfredo with Chicken, and the Spaghetti Bolognese. The starter salads were just right - light and not over embellished. We also ordered the tiramisu and two glasses of Prosecco. It was a little pricey $125 out the door including tip. The restaurant is owned by three little Italian sisters who like to mix it with the locals walking by - especially those of a K9 race. Overall lovely night.
2 stars are for atmosphere. Very cozy and cute place. Food did not deliver. Caprese was not fresh. Mozzarella and tomato were both tough. Sausage in one entree was very tough and grainy. Pasta over cooked. Vodka sauce in rigatoni alspari was more like butter sauce. I asked if they used wrong sauce maybe and waitress said after that if you like pink vodka sauce you have to ask for it. Not very pleasant. Tried to be nice and brought out a complimentary Tiramisu that wasn’t very good either. Disappointing
