Horrible service. It’s been months since I am trying to book an appointment online and they never have any available. Last time I had an appointment, which I managed to book 3 months in advance, I had to wait over 1.5h having my newborn baby with me. Plus, they make people wait outside in the street which is ridiculous when they work with pre booked appointments… If you can use another consulate or travel to Portugal and sort your paperwork there, then I recommend you do that. They are, sorry to say, very useless here in Manchester.
Bad day today. Just came in the afternoon to pick my daughter’s ID and I didn’t, because the service finish at 4pm and I arrived 3:31. They don’t allow people to go upstairs 30 minutes before close It’s better to update the closing time to 3:30pm
Very good service specially the lady who attend me thanks
RUBBISH!! When it comes to appointments. Impossible to get an appointment. When you do get one, they re-schedule it of their preference, don't think about if the person will be travelling or not. Needs improving, especially when it comes to urgency appointment needed for some people and prioritising them by provided evidence why its an urgency.
Me and my family have been there 3 times in the duration of five days to get permission for me to travel to Portugal, next minute we had to do a registration and that got sent in this appointment which took us 2 and half hours to get to ended up to me not getting it because the woman changed her mind last minute before she gave us the approval stamp, the woman who was attending us made the excuse of it doesn't follow the law even tho it does and made us pay 40 pounds for a citizen card that is only ready on the 21st and I got a funeral on the 19th for my Iate grandfather in portugal and I didnt get permission even though I submited all paper work needed and they had the registration while another person did the same process and got the citizen card and permission almost immediately and ontop of that we have to come back again to collect the citizen card which is probably not going to be ready by then, terrible service do not recommend.
Been trying since end of June/ start of July to get an appointment here. I’ve rang 15 times in one day and no one answers the phone. I’ve emailed all they tell you to do is go online and all the online portal says is that there is no vaccines available. What am I supposed to do when my documents expire? Don’t understand how hard it is to answer the phone and book an appointment
if I could give 0 stars, I would! do not expect an answer to an email within a month. do not expect anyone to pick up the phone ever. do not expect them to be bothered at all to let you know if there is an issue with your application or if your passport goes missing. and if you're so unlucky to have the agent João Coelho, it'll be a miracle if anything gets done at all! truly proof that people working in government are the most incompetent people. if you want even the most basic things done, make sure you start the process WELL in advance, it is not uncommon for things to take MONTHS over what you'd be advised online and in their own time guidelines
I paid £120 for my marriage certificate from the Portuguese authorities and basically since then they did not provide this document. I tried to call and eMail them, but no response so far. why did I have to pay for this service if the document requested has simply disappeared?
On the appointment day, I was warmly greeted by the security guard at the building’s entrance who further helped me to navigate to the exact floor whereby I was swiftly attended to, and assisted by Mr João C. He had previously replied to my email, clarifying all of my existing queries regarding the necessary documentation to be presented forth, prior to my in-person appointment in Manchester. After my D7 visa application was processed within a mere week, Mr Fernando very kindly emailed me regarding the outcome of my application! I am deeply thankful to both, Mr João as well as Mr Fernando for their collective efforts and I do sincerely appreciate their time, especially, given how my visa application process was expedited despite being formerly told that the average processing time was at least 3 weeks! I am grateful to Dr Graham Portuguese Consulate General in Edinburgh too for helping me to get in touch with the relevant personnel within the Portuguese Consulate in Manchester. Understandably for many, it may be agonising whilst attempting to establish first contact, however, once this has been achieved, I must reassure you all that the helpful staff at the Portuguese Consulate in Manchester will most probably do their very best in guiding you through your visa application process just as they did for me as well!
Been trying to get an appointment for the past 2 months , Log on the Manchester online scheduling portal every day , all it does Come Back . its pathetic and terrible service from the Embassy and a shame. Try call them and they could not be bothered to assist. Its a disgrace.
