From the outside: Good and efficient phone service. The consulate looks good and serious from the outside, the doormen polite and friendly. We arrived earlier than the appointment time and got served very quickly.

From the inside: The person that served us contradicted several times the one who answered the phone, e.g. she refused to take any UK official documents, whereas this consulate is based in the... UK and the person on the phone told us that they could translate official UK documents on the spot. 

Conclusion: Like most others, we are not from Manchester and coming to a scarcely open administration represents a time and financial sacrifice. Their information is inconsistent and may result in (bad) surprises on the meeting day.

I am plagued by calls on my personal mobile for Polish people asking for the Polish Embassy - even though I have let the embassy know a minimum of five times they do absolutely nothing about it - it is becoming unbearable and past being funny - I get 4-5 calls a day and this is beyond a joke now. They are obviously giving it out by a mistake but do absolutely nothing to sort it out and claim they ''have no idea'' how people are getting my mobile number.

Both me and the girlfriend accidentally went tooled up so I had to wait in the pub next door with the knives as there is a scanner you have to pass through on the way in. She said it was a fairly good experience though and to give it 5/5. Could do with some of the crying children being removed though.

Highly efficient, friendly and quick service. Special praise for Katarzyna Baca who was the nicest and most helpful person working for a Polish administration office I've ever met.
