Porto Lounge
"Porto Lounge is a real home from home, just off Fishponds Road by the park in the heart of Fishponds. We’re a lovely wrap-around corner site with big floor to ceiling windows, perfect for watching the world go by. We’ve a great range of food and drinks including full kids, gluten free and vegan menus served in a really relaxed, welcoming space that really feels the like the local meeting point, with plenty of books, games, and a very handy community noticeboard. We are of course named after Bristol’s twin town. Felicidades!"

Fancied pancakes and bacon, so my 1st thought was Porto, I was not disappointed. As usual I was greeted at the door and asked if I had an dietary needs, I didn't on this occasion and was advised to sit anywhere. As I didn't need to worry about gluten today I thought I'd have a go at ordering from the table. Very easy to do. Everything is easy to find, very clear and user friendly. I chose the triple stack pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, a small diet coke and a hot chocolate. Portion size is just right, although if I was being gluttonous I could have eaten 10 more! The dish was delicious. My hot chocolate was just that, with extra marshmallows! Diet coke is diet coke! As the atmosphere is so relaxed and as I'm sat in the window with the sun on my back I needed a cocktail to take me back on my holiday! As I dont drink alcohol I chose an alcohol free coconut and pineapple punch. I was transported to a white sanded beach with the sun beating down on me on my first sip. It was gorgeous! Porto is one of my favourite places to eat when I'm in fishponds as I am always welcomed, I never feel rushed and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Lovely and lively place. Delicious Coffee. Nice service!

Brilliant place and food. Staff friendly and helpful.Food: 5/5
An early evening meal with my brother and his partner. We sat down straight away and due to the colder weather was pleased to see the table was situated right next to a radiator. Sadly radiator was just for show as it was stone cold. No table service here so you either order at the bar or through their app which both were easy enough. The menu had a lot to offer and a nice variety to choose from, no complaints there. Had a little wait for the food to arrive but they do seem a little unorganized as the food runner attempted to give us someone else's food. Food arrived and the runner apologised as no one had given us cutlery, the food itself was lovely and of high quality. We weren't informed when placing the order that there was a national shortage of potatoes as had I taken the effort to place my fries back in order I don't think I would have formed a whole potato. I know there is a cost of living crisis but when you pay over £10 for a meal you expect that might cover the cost of more than one potato. I really did enjoy my meal as did the others in my party, just wish there was more on the plate. There's a nice atmosphere in the Porto lounge and in fact the candle on the table was a nice touch a source of warmth perhaps for the non working radiators not sure, the portion size lost it one star heres where it lost the other. It took me by complete surprise but they allow dogs in the restaurant, there was one being loud and unruly with the other patrons. I'm not opposed to restaurants being dog friendly just know I would never have chosen to eat here had I'd known. I'm not going to post or go into the obvious reasons why this shouldn't happen but to me couldn't stop thinking about the hygiene aspect of the restaurant which spoiled my visit. If it were based on the food alone I would return in a heartbeat despite the potato famine in their kitchen. But the dogs in the restaurant is too off-putting. For people wanting to travel to this restaurant by car leave with plenty of time as finding parking round here is a nightmare.
Love this place, always drop in when visiting son. Great brunch selection, fab coffee, cheerful service and very good value. No complaints at all!
Meal for 2 was good value and delicious. Always look for a lounges venue on a trip - reliable good venue especially as it offers vegan and gluten free options which are a must for us.
Had the triple buttermilk pancakes with bacon and maple syrup it was so good light and fluffy and was very satisfied also had a coke which was great definitely recommend you need to get in at the right time as it gets busy quickly probably because it’s so good
The food was great and service quick, the atmosphere was okay, the only real downside is the restaurant is quite small,so it's fairly snug when full. Kid-friendliness: Good selection of kids food choices
