Found this place online, doesn't look anything from the outside but inside it's absolutely beautiful. The staff were so friendly and chatty and the food was delicious. All home made with such fantastic flavours. Can't believe we cleared our plates on all three courses and it was less than £50 with two pints of soft drinks each. Haggis samosas with spicy onions and yogurt and mint. Chicken breast tempura. Roast beef dinner Lemon meringue pie
Amazing! Not many reviews as most as it is a true local pub. Dining was booked out often a good sign so I ate in the pub which I preferred. In town for a week and was there 4 of the 7 nights. Fish and chips great as well as the fantastic Steak Pie and Peppercorn Chicken Breast. The hero of the 2 course meal I chose was the STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING! You have to try it. Best I’ve ever had. Great prices as well. Go try it for yourself.
Lovely food and really friendly staff it's a regular stop for us
Staff super friendly and food absolutely delicious. I had the cajun chicken, my fiance had the steak pie, good size portions and the presentation was perfect. We ate every bit. Chocolate fudge cake for desert was also delicious. We were actually shocked to get the bill being so fairly priced would have definitely thought it would have been so much more.

First time visiting after being impressed with the sister restaurant in Cross house and wasn't disappointed. Tasty homemade food and plenty of it. Good service and good value, I can definitely recommend it.Food: 5/5
Good food, young waiter exceptionally pleasant and helpful sorry didn't get his name. My friends said the restaurant was quieter than normal, and it was nice to chat without too much noise. Bar was busy, bar staff efficient and pleasant. Good afternoon/ early evening with friends.
I have came here 7 times before.. the last time we got served dry chicken.. this time I got served un cooked haggis which got switched.. I then got the peppered chicken and the outside.of the chicken... the thin bits were cooked but the thicker bits were uncooked, rubbery and slight pink so I didn't eat it.. I also spat a bit out because of the texture. Not once was I asked if the meal.was OK and also wasn't asked why the chicken was on another plate with a spat out bit. They both were not interested if the meal was OK or not. I'll not be back!!! Thanks
