Food and service were very good, would highly recommend....was a bit baffled at the rose wine bottle being brought out in a cooler bucket with no ice tho. A bit of live music too with a nice atmosphere. We did stay overnight in the room upstairs and sadly that is another story altogether ...although I will say the room was fresh and clean with nice views , not any good tho if you cannot sleep
Across the road from Irvine Harbour it combines the feel of a 'local' pub with separate dining area comfortably, neither area impacting on the other. Good selection of drinks & food at reasonable prices. Staff more than helpful to ensure you enjoy your visit.
We booked a table at a set time, when we arrived we got shown to our table but without a menu or a drinks order. After 5 minutes we had to ask for a menu, we got our menus and still no drinks. Eventually after 20 minutes we got them, at this point I just knew it wasn’t going to be great. We got our starters which were lovely but after a full hour of being in there our starter plates were still lying on the table. Once the lady took them away she accidentally spilt sauce all over my daughter which wasn’t a big deal but it just summed up our experience. The dinner was nice nothing to rave about and we got ignored when we asked for more drinks so had to go up to the bar myself and get them. We overheard another customer say he had asked 3 times to order food and got ignored. My daughters burger and chips from the kids menu was very dry and no cheese on the burger, we also had to ask for sauces we didn’t get offered any. Eventually we got the bill and went to pay but I could’ve easily walked out and they wouldn’t have noticed it took them 10 minutes to serve me. The food was nice but the customer service really let them down unfortunately. I can’t say I’ll be back

Lovely bar and the food was lovely.... especially the chicken stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in pastry....and the orange gravy is absolutely brilliant....very similar to what the ship restaurant had years ago.Food: 4/5
A warm welcome awaits at this fabulous little pub. Great beers and excellent food with helpings big enough to please the largest of appetites. Fab!
Three of us had lunch here today .Staff friendly and attentive .Service was fast .We passed on starters .Our daughter had the chilli dog with skinny skin on fries .Hubby and I had the 10oz Ribeye with trimmings .The steak medium was cooked to perfection.The chips lovely ,as the onion rings ,Salad leaves ,cooked tomatoes, mushrooms The portion was good .Only one of us managed to eat Dessert which was a portion of Churros with ice cream,cream. 2 coffees .It was getting busy when we left ,recommend booking a table .We will return . A varied menu not to expensive.Happy days .
