A nice little steak house close to the Airbnb we were staying at. The steak was good. The chips were great and super hot. We shared a sticky toffee pudding it was incredible. I wanted to try sticky toffee pudding when we visited London and it was everything I hoped it would be. This is a nice little restaurantFood: 4/5
Very decent steak! Super simple concept: steak & chips. Nothing else, but well done! The chips were actually incredible, super thick and chunky but fluffy. The steak was very nicely charred and crisp, but in my opinion the meat itself lacked flavour. From 100% grass fed Scottish beef I would have expected more of that characteristic grass fed taste but that wasn’t really there. Still good though!
Been coming here for years - I personally always order a fillet steak that is simply melt in the mouth utterly delicious, served with incredible chips and amazing house Red, the service is truly wonderful. Seriously if you want quality steak with no fuss just beautiful steak you should come here :Food: 5/5
Popeseye is a "pure" steakhouse, unlike the fancy ones that have been around lately. Focusing only on delivering quality meat cuts accompanying them with a good selection of wines. Lovely people are running the restaurant; if you are looking for a trendy place, look elsewhere; if you are a meat lover, you must visit the site. A hidden gem at Hammersmith.
Every single dish is spot on here. Chips and cheesecake went down too quickly and missed opportunity to take photos. Ate Highland fillet which was on special and followed by another ribeye steak. I wish my stomach can take in more. Total satisfaction.
This is *the* place to go if you want some beef and have the money for it. It's small and charming, staff is warm and welcoming, and they have a challenge. The place is great, but none of that will matter once you try the fillet and the fries it comes with. SO GOOD.Recommended dishesFillet Steak
One of the best steaks I have ever had. Take the round cut, or what they call the Pope's Eye, it is perfection. So tender and full of flavor it is a work of culinary art. The French fries are also the absolute best, true British fries you just cannot have anyplace else in the world. Service is friendly and efficient.Food: 5/5
Nice steak and fries. But the meal was simple - too simple. The service was sweet and nice. What to expect. Location was simple - again too simple. But good value for the money.Food: 3/5
My favourite local restaurant. Super simple no fuss menu of various steaks, chips and salad. The steaks are next level amazing and great chips. Love the no frills, relaxed approach with amazing food and the owners could not be nicer!Food: 5/5
If ever you needed to be reminded that London has hidden culinary gems around every corner this is it! The simplest of menus, the highest level of service and probably one of the best steaks I've eaten in a very long time. If you want great food without the pretentiousness of so many 'high end' steak houses then this is the place for you!
